@@aanderson2880it wasn't negative it was surprised and then she wanted to cry but she wanted to tell him first that's why she put her bottom lip out because it was so sweet
@@aanderson2880She was emotional but definitely not unhappy. The name was Michael. Same as the babys grandpa. Thats why he and his wife both cried. The mom named the baby after his grandpa.
My family has had a naming scheme since at least my great-grandfather...the firstborn son is named William and any subsequent sons can be named as the parents want (obviously, though, the trend can be bucked...it's just a tradition). I'm a William, my grandad was a William (he passed when my dad (the second son, so *not* a William) was 5, so I never met him), his father was a William...and so on (my uncle and cousin are both Williams...and there's a Wilhelm somewhere in my tree). My ex was willing to continue the tradition, so after a small hiccup, my (technically) third son is a William...and he's the spitting image of his long-passed great-granddad.
The way grandma said he's got a name was the most softest, kindest, warmest, tone ever. Her voice was so soothing. 😊 Loved the way she stepped back, clasped her hands, and allowed grandad to have his moment BEFORE going in to hug and congratulate/comfort/embrace him.
OK-you said it all ♡ this is so touching... especially after watching a short where a Rude Woman Wore a literally white wedding dress to someone elses wedding....
@@HanakoFairhall not really, there are many little kids that also get super emotional. Like when I was little and my mom told me that she was pregnant, I started crying because I was overwhelmed and happy.
i started bawling! I am not a crier, but the minute that grandfather’s hand went up over his mouth. I just lost it. I can’t imagine how wonderful that must’ve felt.
Me too! My daughter gave my grandson her Poppa’s name (my Dad, her grandpa). Although her dad was involved in her life, my Dad was her go to. I am so grateful to call him “my Dad” & even more appreciative that my children get to have him as their Poppa. Now my grandson (his great-grandson named after him) is hooked to my hip until Poppa is around, then he drops me & sticks to him. 🥰 We all play important roles in children’s lives. Especially in large families like ours. The women are the primary “care givers” & more hands on in the day to day from great grandma, grandma, mom, aunties & cousins - we all help each other with our tiny humans. But there really is a special place for the men that are of a strong mind, patient & giving gentle guidance to our little ones. They crave time with them & learn so much. This little guy in the video is beyond blessed to have been given the name of a man that will mean so much to him!

The Grandmother noticed the name tag where she was amazed to see that the baby boy had been named after the Grandfather. The Grandparents had only had daughters and the family surname was not going to be passed on through a male line. So the daughter and son-in-law decided to name their baby after the Grandfather's first name and made the baby's middle name the Grandfather's surname. The baby then had the parent's surname as his surname to complete his name.
I promised myself as a child I would never force life onto anyone, I've been with my girlfriend for 15 years now, she's wanted a child the entire time, I told her she can adopt but she wants her own, so she can get knocked up by someone else. Growing up I had no father, no siblings, and a mostly absent mother. I really think it should be a crime for poor people to procreate, seriously. If you aren't willing to be a good parent and don't have the financial means, it should be illegal. Anyone with a EBT card, and children, IMO they're all failures.. after the first one, that should be it. Theres so many women/girls out here with 3-4 baby daddies, they dont work, they get free food, free child care and a free house next to a family that had to pay $170,000 for theirs. Thats bullshyt!!! Same goes.for the dudes with 3 plus baby mommas, they need FIXED! Like DAM! No SELF CONTROL!!! We all know its easier for some to get financial help than others and thats BULLSHYT!!!!
@@ayten3617 while all you stated may be true, for it to be the driving reason you personally don't procreate when you have the same ability as the people you speak of to do the best you can for a child may need some therapy. Especially to address the trauma you have experienced. If you don't want children in general I get it. But clearly, there is trauma and you deserve to have that part of you heal. I'm sorry that happened to you and hope your life is much improved from your childhood. Wishing you the best. We don't have to hold to our promises made with our inner child trauma.

My now ex sister-in-law named her daughter after me and my sister, Angela for my older sister, her middle name, (Lois 😩 her first name); and Gayle, for me/my middle name (first name is Ginger, which people tend to avoid. Seems it connotes either a dog or a porn star. 😂). Fine……. 😝 It was a nice thing to do anyway). Once she and my brother divorced (his fault for cheating), we rarely spoke again except on social media. I have two great nieces, one almost out of HS, one in second year of college, who I’ve never met. Pretty sad, huh. They live in PA, just about 300 or so miles from me. They come to WV to visit people, but never me, my daughter or my two granddaughters. I understand, I guess, but it’s still sad and painful (lessens with time). I’ve tried many times to reach out to them, I get a response all the time and I respond back, but that’s as far as it ever goes. My 75th birthday was Father’s Day this year, not a word from anyone in my family except my daughter and my 18 year old granddaughter. Her sister will be just four tomorrow, so of course I didn’t expect anything from her. Her mom tho could have called me for her and I could have talked with her. That would have made me extremely happy ! Folks in our family just don’t think much about sharing feelings or doing even just little things that make people happy. I’m not like any of them, but my efforts seem to mean nothing to any of them, unless money is involved. That’ll be the only reason they’ll miss me when I’m gone. But anyway, this family is special and they should all be very thankful for each other. My mom and dad didn’t even come to the hospital when I had my daughter 41 years ago, nor did any of my five brothers or two sisters, nor anyone else in the family, nor anyone from the hospital where I had her and had worked at 18 years ! When I’d gone into labor at midnight the day she was due, I couldn’t even find her dad, then he fell asleep at bedside when I was having some lovely HAHA contractions. They had to wake him up to tell him I was having an emergency C-section otherwise I and baby may not make it. Ok, he says, back to sleep he went. Gotta love my family….. or, maybe not !! I live by myself now, and quite like it. Blessings to this beautiful family, especially the sweet newborn. I hope the family continues to stay closely bound to each other, and are filled with gratitude that they are so fortunate to be entwined so perfectly together. They are indeed blessed beyond words. ♥️🙏
I'm indeed saddened by what you are and have experienced with family. It's unfortunate and I can relate, yet we are all broken people without Christ. Most love from their perspective love language and even in that cannot give what's needed most. I recall, years ago in my youth, asking God about my relationship with a parent, although in the home so emotionally unavailable to the point of wounding. There on my knees, heavenly Father, spoke to me, They could not give you what they did not have. Wow, what a freeing revelation! I'm equally as aware that I have failed to give others what they have needed or desired from me, tho' I have tried. I also fully get the money thing. 😮 It most never works. But, as long as there's life there's opportunity for healing, relationally, emotionally, etc. There is One who promises to heal the brokenhearted and bind up their woundedness.💔 May He, the Lord Jesus Christ, recover / restore you every place you hurt, in this life and that to come.(John 3:16; 1John 3; Psalm 147:3) May you receive this in the spirit in which it is sent. 🙏💝🛐

My mom was a paranoid schizophrenic and everybody looked the other way. From age eight, she mentally/verbally abused me on a near daily basis. I had a father but at best, he looked the other way and pretended it wasn't happening. At worst he, blamed me for the problems and made me apologize for the abuse levied against me. I survived it, thank God. I met a good woman in my early 20s and got out of there. Moved across the country. Cut ties. I vowed that the cycle of abuse would stop with my mother. I've been with the same woman for 23 years now (married for 17) and have three wonderful, well adjusted kids who love me. I'm here to say that not all parents should be treasured. Some are horrific. However, everyone has the power to make a change and stop the cycle of abuse. To become a parent themself, that's worthy of being treasured.
Still have scar on my head from a beer bottle. My father tried to kill my mom, 1 of my brothers and me as well. Drunk psycho and once I learned he is dead it was another ordinary day. The only reason for me dropping a tear was for the fact that I didnt feel anything what son probably should feel like when losing father.
My parents were amazing people. They were married at 18 and by the time they were 23 had me and my 2 sisters. We grew up poor but we had each other and a lot of love. When I was 19 and my dad was 40 he suddenly died of a brain aneurysm. It devastated my entire family. 5 years later my mom died also leaving me and my sisters alone. I’m now 41 and as I get older it seems to get harder. I think about everything they missed. Walking us down the aisle, the births of all the grandchildren, college graduations, major medical catastrophes, watching the three of us grow out of the cycle of poverty. And seeing the reaction on my dad’s face when he would have found out that the only boy birthed to a giant family of girls and women was named after him. I would give a decade off my life for just one single day with them, just to see them again, to show them that against all the odds they did good by us and we took care of each other and were ok after they left.

That was so special to name the baby after her father.

@@nikacanestaro7038 The 1st thing I thought was it could have been the name of the son the parents had lost.
That was such a genuine response I’m assuming the grandson was named after the granddad so precious

This made me cry. Treasure your parents while you have them!
I would give a decade off my life for just one single day with them, just to see them again, to show them that against all the odds they did good by us and we took care of each other and were ok after they left.
how sweet to see the update ❤️
Amen to that! Anyone you hold close! Cherish them!!
I literally could not love these people more.
That's so sweet.. he looks JUST LIKE his Grandpa ❤
I was coming to comments to say the SAME thing, he looks just like his Grandpa 😊
He really does!
I said the same thing.
There can be no greater honor or compliment than have someone name their child after you. What a beautiful moment for this grandpa.
Well, that got me right in the feelers. The look of complete shock as he melted was just priceless. He's got his best buddy now ❤
yes my father was so happy I named my child after him,so he beat me in my own kitchen and made sure I had a concussion...
great..those lovely fathers...
Me 3😭❤️
@mikivanduyn9630 there's a time and a place amd I'm pretty sure this isn't it. I'm sorry for your struggles as I've had my own as well, but this is these people's precious memories, and I doubt they would be trying to shit all over any of your own precious memories, so I would stop. Karma also has a memory! 😊
@@mikivanduyn9630I am so sorry!!!😭😭😭😭😭
I’ve watched this a hundred times and I never tire of it.
He looks like his grandpa, and their response to his name had me in tears!!
Blessings!!
Kid looks just like him. True honor!!!
‼️‼️‼️ Exactly like Grandpa
As we used to say back in the day..
Like he just spit him out☺️
Looks just like his handsome Grandpa 🙌💯🌞🌈
Why are they sad?
@@gambitgambino1560they aren't sad. They just got so emotional they started crying. Sometimes when you try and hold back tears, it makes your face look sad even when you are feeling joy.
Yes he looks identical to his Step grandpa 😂😂
I love the Synchronization with the grandparents! They really love each other!!!! Im very proud to see this!!!! A beautiful American family!!!!! Stay strong and love each other please!!!!!
Happy birthday wee man and
Granpa is his best pal👍👍👍
I love seeing a grown man cry. It shows his tender heart.❤
🙏
Can't stop watching in tears.
She's so lucky to have such good parents.
Such a heartwarming family.
Agreed. Not all parents are that amazing. I was thrown to the wolves long before I turned 18. 43 now and still completely on my own. It makes me happy to see not all parents are like mine have been.
The way she looked at him when she said he's got a name. She's beaming with pride & love. Her life mate was such an incredible man, father, & husband that his first grandson took his name. And he's obviously a lovely FIL because the baby's daddy agreed to it. Naming your first son after your wife's father shows just how deserving he is & respected.
Sometimes its about tradition. My husband's family would name the first son's middle name after the father's first name. We had two sons, so our second son got the same middle name as the his father, which was also the first name of his grandfather. FUN FACT
By the grandparents reaction I can say that they are adorable people.
The way she says “he’s got a name” instead of ruining the surprise for her husband is so sweet. I love this, so wholesome 😊
That’s granddaddy’s baby!! Literally brought tears to my eyes. 🥲 Thank you for sharing this beautiful moment with us all! And happy holidays! 🫶🏾🙏🏾
Me too! Emotional and perfect 🥰
Amen 🙏!
omg so great look at him. 😅😊😅
Awww, so sweet. Beautiful family. God Bless
Absolutely beautiful. No bigger respect for a Grandfather than to have his precious Grandson as a namesake ❤
lol...untill those fathers beat you in your own house...not every father is so great.
@@mikivanduyn9630Trauma dumping much? Sorry you've had bad experiences with your dad, but if you can't be happy for them and say something nice just keep your thoughts to yourself!🤦
@@mikivanduyn9630I’m sorry that you were hurt by your father, thankfully this young boy has a very loving family.
This is Absolutely Beautiful, got me all teary-eyed 😢❤😢❤😢❤
Grandpa's face went red! He's a great dad. I feel like crying 😭 So so precious.
Love the grandma's facial expressions!!! Priceless
Damn it… that made me cry. There is no one, in the world, that can compare to a Grandpa ❤️
Except for a grandmother !❤❤
Sister’s little “…why is everyone crying?” 😂 Aww! She’ll come to appreciate her brother’s name more and more as she grows!
