When you guys made the small play error at the 4 minute mark, you were wrong in your assessment. The loyal unicorn does NOT die. Loyal Unicorn prevents ALL combat damage to creatures you control. He is Dolmen Gate on a dude when your commander is in play. So, since all damage is prevented, including deathtouch damage, the unicorn would live on. Sorry to "rules lawyer" it

Was there like a table deal or something to stop Guit from killing you Andrew? Cuz you were very open that whole game LOL. Fun time all in all, fun to see mutate it still around.
Merit also exists in putting a player in check but not eliminating them. We saw an example of this when Andrew agreed to tap down Maximus's board with Naya Charm so Guit could attack Maximus for lethal.
Loyal Unicorn shouldn't have died at 3:44 - its trigger prevents combat damage that would be dealt to Kevin's creatures (including itself) that turn, which would include deathtouch. Also if I see one more video with a voltron or infect player splitting their damage im going to scream
Man i have to admire you persistence. You've been banging on with this Ramos mutate pile for like a year now and it's still just seems to be so... underwhelming.
Realistically... Any 5 color that isn't human. Ramos is fun and cool. Granted I don't do all the charms to get the add benefits. Also I have gone games with out playing Ramos and just took over the game with just the 5 color mutate syengry
i tried this deck and found it similarly underwhelming - It feels like it wants to go in several directions at once (commander mutate, bogles, charms etc) and i never found it had a solid win condition. I ended up converting into Brokkos, with a more clear intent of mutating him onto cheap hexproof creatures and hitting for commander damage.
@@BelieMyBurial the problem is Andrew also wants to use Ramos, which means he doesn't come online until he 6 mana, and then doesn't do anything with him until he next untaps. I also built a Ramos mutate deck, and I agree that initially the deck was extremely unfocused, sort of being pulled in multiple directions. You've just gotta either commit to Ramos being the game plan, or mutate, not both. He's too expensive to be a good target for mutate creatures and is too much of a lightning rod for removal. Cards like Slippery Bogle and Cephalid Constable are much better as they come down early, and either lock someone out fast or are just difficult to remove. I'm so thankful to Andrew for getting me onto 5c mutate, as it's a lot of fun. But I really wish he'd take a hard look at his Ramos deck, as it feels like it doesn't function well ATM
Fynn was the first deck I made when I started playing MTGO, because I could basically grab most of the deathtouch creatures off the freebots right away. Sadly, MTGO randos being the crapshoot that they are, I never really got a good game with the deck because of constant "OMG infect, kill him!!!!1" so I dismantled the deck and moved on to other things. Nowadays I don't even play with randos anymore, just with an online playgroup and have a much better time with it.

Came down to say this in the comments as well. I was initially confused as to why Jhoira's Toolbox was in the deck, but it makes more sense if you think it works fall all artifacts.
As someone with a Fynn deck, I absolutely do not understand why that card is in the deck in the first place, and why she would play that turn one over her 1-cmc deathtoucher. That cost her two free attacks with it.
You've been playing Ramos and Shorikai a lot and they are not doing great lastly. You keep the whole match mana flooding or without mana. Your best matches in the last videos were with our good old Mistform. The other's were more like "He is holding something for the next turn" and it never cames 😂

Doesn't it stop combat damage the unicorn with it's ability so deathtouch wouldn't work cause no damage was dealt to it
