I absolutley adore this style of playing and enjoy playing this way at home myself. Its emphasising the song and introducing intricacy while staying true to the vibe of the recording. After watching the Downbeat episode you spoke on could I ask (and please dont take this as a negative) whether your band mates, particularly Lucas, would consider this over playing given that this could be in danger of getting in the way of the vocals? Im only curious so that I can understand the fine line you are so good at treading. Really admire the solid playing here. Would love to hear In Circles live!
