Hi I have a few pairs of gouldians and looking to build a shed similar to yours. Have you got any air extraction and do you manage the humidity etc. I have a Gove temperature and humidity monitor which works on bluetooth , I set limits for both temperature and humidity, so it triggers my phone if parameters exceeded, plus it shows ongoing graphs so you can see when and how much heat is being used.... Did you consider pvc for cages? Great video, thank you.
Hi, yes in my first video, which shows me building the shed you can see the air extraction. I had a couple of comments about it saying that the dust was heavier than air and it would be better fitted lower down. I don't have anything to manage the humidity just keep my eye on it and spray water if it gets to low. The plastic cages are the best in my opinion, but as I'm a joiner and most of the material and my labour are for free then I made my own. Please watch my other videos for a better insite in the shed. Thanks for your comments and good luck with your birds. Andy
@@andrewhopton3542 thanks, will look at. Good luck with your birds too. I have watched The House of Gouldians which is a source of ideas , if you have not seen it, give it a go.
Hi Billy, thanks for your comment, always willing to learn. It wasn't something I thought about when I was building the shed, but luckily the sun doesn't shine on the windows just catches the corner early morning. Do you have blind up in your shed ?
Hi Simon, no I don't have an outside aviary, I only divide the cages up into 600mm or 800mm when I'm breeding.the rest of the time they are opened up to 1400mm long. I think this is shown in the second video. Thanks Andy
Thanks for the update...
Great aviary!! Congratulations
Thankyou Javier
Enjoyed your videos
Thanks Matt, I always enjoy yours.
