- This train must have been operated as extra service for the Women's March on NYC. It was very needed; crowding in the subway was quite high that day because of the Special Event.

For those confused as to why it went to WTC and why it was running local, It was a Women's March extra which ran from 168 St to WTC following the old K line.

This was the original route of the 'A' Train when the IND opened in 1933. (207 St to Hudson Terminal)
(I became president that year)
The first IND train that opened when the IND first opened was the A train wow.

I knew it! I had heard an R160 at 80th st, not sure if it was an F or C being rerouted to Lefferts. Was a block away from the station so I couldn't hear the announcement clearly. it's nice to see these every once in a while on the A. Couldn't believe you caught these on the D train as well. Keep up the good videos.
If it was the (C), that obviously 🙄 means that the (C) is getting a breath of air.

Usually, If An Uptown (E) Train Gets Rerouted, To "168th Street-Washington Heights", It Would Be A Downtown Confusion. Therefore, It Would Be Marked As A Downtown (A) Local Train, To "World Trade Center", Or A Downtown (C) Local Train, To "Chambers Street". Well, (E) Trains Do Not Go To Upper Manhattan, Including "Washington Heights-168th Street!"

and C at 50 St

The NTT trains should really be populating the A, the R179s are luckily coming but I think the R46’s should be moved to the B since that is the weekday only fleet and the R68s move to the NW and Q so the R160s there move to the A. In addition , some R68s should move to the G to extend the trains due to the L shutdown.

Why didn't they just mark as a C bound for WTC if it was running local?
Why did the r160 A trains terminate at World Trade Center? Don't they terminate at Inwood 207th Street, Lefferts Blv, Rockaway Park, and Far Rockaway?
Please reply I really want to know.
Because it’s really an (E) train and that line does not travel out to Brooklyn or the Rockaways :)

How come they only ran to WTC? Was there also construction?
William Scoufaras This R160 belonged to the E train so they signed up as an A train for less confusion, and the other reason they only ran to WTC, is because they are too heavy to operate those trains in the Rockaways, plus they will have mechanical issues.

William Beresford no there not heavy They (MTA) been fixed that problem like 2 years or 3 years ago there was a Rerouted R160 C that went to Far Rockaway in 2014
