I found your video and tried this method but have no such luck. My heat shrink wrap seems too thick and I'm only using a single shrink wrap. What size shrink wraps were you using if you don't mind me asking? Don't feel like dropping $65 dollars on a new wetside, if I can use this method instead, I'll be quite happy. Hello from the USA by the way!
So the wall of the shrink shows as 0.2mm. Without being exposed to heat it's outer is approximately 3.5mm in diameter and inner 3.1mm. I think this is the stuff I used. I bought a huge mixed set on wish.com. It took 2 shrink to make it thick enough. Hope that helps. It's still running without a problem to this day
@@superfly108 I managed to get it to fit, but the shrink wrap does not allow the fan to spin freely as yours shows, I have to force it by hand to spin.
This fix works! I was dreading having to purchase a new wet side, so hopped on YT and so glad I did! $7 later the mp10 is up and running.
Just bought a mp 10 with same issue for 50$ and fixed it after watching this video . Works perfectly fine 😊 thanks for the video
This fix absolutely works perfectly. My MP10 is running solid and quieter with the double heat shrink fix. Great DIY. Thanks
Excellent job and fix. Is the heat shrink reef friendly or?
Heat shrink is normally made from a stable polymer. I never had any problems with it breaking down in water

@@superfly108 ok, I'll order this set and try the exact same size you used. Thanks!
Let us know how you get on! Good luck.
