This has always been one of my most favorite Madonna albums tbh... just a compact, no non-sense listen, solid songwriting, production (there truly is something about the mid 90s R&B groove) and some of her most soulful vocal performances ever (Love Tried To Welcome Me is just stellar stuff) - this was actually her first ALBUM to be nominated for a Grammy. I always thought of Bedtime Stories as the end of an era tbh... her last proper studio album before motherhood, before the Evita vocal training (it might have allowed her to refine her techniques, but it also scrubbed off a lot of the raw, unbridled, throaty edges that her pre-trained voice possessed), just an icon reflecting on her life. It's heartfelt stuff. Plus the quasi title track was the closest thing to a Madonna/Björk collaboration, and it's truly stood the test of time. And the seamless segue from Sanctuary to Bedtime Story!!! Truly a genius move.

i actually think ajayii took them down herself because i remember it said it was removed by the uploader, and i feel she did that to remove videos that had low views, cuz her least viewed video on her channel currently was over 160k views and many of her madonna reactions were only 70k-90k views so she took those down. the remaining madonna reactions on her channel have over 200k channels

I think the reason I disliked Erotica and Bedtime Stories the first listen back in 2020 was because of how slow or boring the songs started out and even progressed. Maybe I was so into her upbeat 80s sound that I couldn’t appreciate her 90s work (minus Ray Of Light). But as a couple years went by I’m slowly liking certain songs from both albums now. So I agree with Ajay about the tracks being slow burners. (The reason I’m mentioning Erotica is cause I don’t wanna repeat a comment under that video).
