There is something so immensely satisfying about seeing a tractor like that do the vehicular equivalent of smiling, nodding, and saying "Oh yeah, I can do it." And then backing it up without breaking a sweat.

those tractors aren't cheap even a used 2012 is 170grand and near 500k new. on top of just to haul it would need permits due to being oversized load.

That's amazing, I was a truck driver for 35 years. There is nothing like seeing a big truck very stuck. Mud is everybody's friend especially deep mud. Love the recovery videos.

Another GREAT recovery video ! Your thinking is right on target, work smart, not hard, if the hard can be avoided. I remember when those 900 series of 5 tons came out. They’re still impressive in an old-school way ! That was impressive, how you got that much mud under the hood. Not recommended, but yet very impressive.

I know from experience, when you get into a sticky situation, you have to think outside the box and get creative. You Guys are living the life that I’ve always dreamed of. I am a cattle rancher from WV and where I live, it’s nothing uncommon to get into some pretty bad situations. I’ve never called a wrecker or anybody at all for that matter. If I can’t get it out, it can’t be retrieved.
It’s safe to say these recoveries are my favorite type of videos. Great video guys!!

You guys really need a HEMTT wrecker. I was a wrecker operator in the Army. Some of the stuff I had to recover was absolutely insane.

I have a 30' length of 2.5 inch mooring line from the submarine I was stationed on back in the day. It lives in the back of every truck I've owned. It looks just like that Yankum rope you got. I've used it countless times. Works every time. There is next to no chance of snapping it. But if you do, boy I wouldn't want to be in it's path. That's lights out for sure.
Those 2inch cables work good pulling out stuck scrapers chAins weren't on our road jobs 40 some years ago never run over a cable with a dozer once the strands.injured you will have to make it shorter

700k for a plain Jane with wheels. The wide tracked model is closer to 900k. We have a JD R450 that cost almost 400k

It's a known fact that four wheel drives and six wheel drives just get you stuck in more interesting places. Trust me I live in Florida. We use those John Deere a just like that one to pull the pull pan's with. They are a very powerful machine. 🌞🌴🐊
When I was in the Army (many moons ago) we slugged a 5 ton in mud up to the bottom of the chassis, thus a suction issue and it wouldn't move a bit. It took a Cat with extra wide tracks and a doubled cable to drag the truck back enough to break the suction hold. Burying the engine itself in that sticky goo is a whole new level of "engine won't start.' Well done and Priceless! Wish we had a Yankum back then.
