Is there a sequence to enter programming mode with pathfinder similar to what you had to do for the smart sirens?

this is what in confusing to me, so the SS does not act as "true progressive" slider then? Meaning you have to manually turn off what is activated if you knock down a position? I was under the impression that it will turn off what is activated automatically if going from 3 to 2 because that is no longer activated.
