GrungeHQ can you please do a video called what if Himmler had been captured alive? That is because Henrich Himmler was imfamously one of Hitlers henchmen and was the leader of the SS. Also like Hitler Himmler was one of the main architects of the Holocaust thus making him responsible for the deaths of millions of innocent people including 6 million of whom who were Jewish so if anyone other than Hitler deserved to be put on trial in Nuremberg it was Henrich Himmler.

The most important thing for this "What If? is WHO would capture him:
*Staline would have kept his toy for himself. He’s not the sharing type…
He would have done his own trial, punishment. He would not have killed him straight away. He would have tortured him for years before getting rid of him. Ultimately, he would have kept his skull in his personal museum.
*The allies would have sent him to Nuremberg and either he would have taken cyanid or sentenced to death… unless he managed to escape to Argentina or Uruguay.

I remember reading an old historical fiction novel in the early 80's called The Berkut. In the novel, the Soviets capture Hitler alive at the end of the war, then bring him back to Moscow. Stalin has him imprisoned in something similar to a Vietnam War era tiger cage, this one being suspended from the ceiling, in a dungeon far beneath the Kremlin.
He is fed and kept alive, but essentially lives like an animal, never bathing nor being groomed, or even being acknowledged by the guards. Over the years he is driven insane and ends up becoming a true physical beast, having lost all semblance with a human being. Every so often Uncle Joe would come down to the dungeon to stare at him for a few minutes. Years later, minutes after Stalin dies, a guard opens the cage and breaks Hitler's neck, as per Stalin's decree. It was quite the read.

      From Wikipedia:
After the surrender of Japan, despite it waging the war in the name of Hirohito, he was not prosecuted for war crimes, for General Douglas MacArthur thought that an ostensibly cooperative emperor would help establish a peaceful Allied occupation and the U.S. achieve its postwar objectives.[1] As a result, MacArthur did everything in his power to exclude any possible evidence that would have incriminated Hirohito and his family during the Tokyo War Crimes Tribunal.

Interesting video, you put a lot in 7 minutes. Two things. 1. It's become clear that the Soviets never found the Hitlers' (Adolf and Eva) remains. Historian Mark Felton did a series of videos about the disposal of the remains and it's certain they never found the actual burial site, which appears to have been a mass grave not far from the bunker. What's more the Soviets knew that and hastily dug up and disposed of the remains they had in the 1970s when questions began to be asked about their account.
    2. Yes, Churchill wanted the Nazi leaders executed after the war rather than a show trial. He felt it would be much more honest and less hypocritical.

Nuremberg trials were pure show trials, Western standards of rule of law were ignored, rules of evidence were ignored with evidence presumed and did not need to be proved, the right to appeal was refused. And, which laws of which countries were the defendants tried under? There was no international laws back then. For clarity, I am not claiming the defendants were not guilty of crimes, but they were still entitled to be tried fairly and impartially and by jury. Nuremberg was simply a Soviet style show trial.

If taken alive? It's no way that that would have happened. First of all his mental and physical health was failing. He allegedly never even visited his own concentration camps. I doubt he'd have lived long enough to stand trial. I think that regardless of which allied country happened upon him, that he'd have lived to be tried. I think he'd have gotten shot on sight.

In the fiction story, “The Berkut”, Hitler escapes and is captured Ashe tries to get on a ship. In the story, Stalin putHitler in a cage designed so Hitler can stand straight up or lay down and stretch. Plus the cage is suspended from the ceiling. Only Stalin-is allowed in (doctors and feeders are allowed on n keep Hit.er alive). Upon Stalin’s death, the door to the room is removed and the hole bricked closed. All that and the book is the story of Hitler’s hu t and capture. What a good movie this would make.

In a way, he was. Alive, that is. After all, he made it out of there to Argentina while the victors concucted the story of suicide in the bunker threatening all those that knew him with death if they'd not coporparate while knowing full well that he'd never do himself in but that's the image of a coward that they wanted the world to know about, once they knew he'd actually escaped unharmed. -That'd been a story they could not live with, so they basically let him go and went with the bunker story knowing full well he'd never be able to debunk it from afar, pun intended. They also knew they'd never attempt to abduct him for a trial, too many secret beans would be spilled by him for them to ever want that theater outcome, so he got away and we got the lame bunker death tale.

There's always this theory that Hitler escaped to Argentina in 1945 and lived for another 20 years, as the Argentinians were also hiding Eichmann and Mengele and Juan Peron was sympathetic to Nazism. However, someone in his entourage would have probably let the Israelis or the Russians know for a fee and Hitler would have been captured in Argentina or possibly assasinated. Yet I doubt, had Hitler tried to escape, he would have got very far as the city was largely in Russian hands and he would have been captured or shot.

If he would've fallen into Soviet hands (the most likely alternate scenario) he still would've never gotten out of Berlin and most likely would've simply "disappeared" and become one of history's greatest mysteries. The Soviets would've given his wrecked body everything it could handle before he succumbed, probably within hours, before they quickly and secretly disposed of him and everyone else in the bunker. Only if the western Allies had somehow captured him would he have been imprisoned and possibly faced some sort of trial and formal execution. In that case, they would've tried to revive him for trial but he still would've been a frail, prematurely elderly figure likely quiet and compliant before his trial and hanging.

France, England, Finland, Poland and others all had diplomatically insulted the Soviet Union when Molotov proposed several times that they together form a military alliance against fascism (Nazi Germany). @Cmon-Man Your questions are good ones. First, Hitler, whether observed up close by those who who worked for him, the news reels, et. al., was a physical wreck even though he was only 56 years old in 1945. The assisination attempt of July 1944, along with what is presumed to be Parkinson's, and various uses of drugs as noted by his own doctor's records, all suggest that he was sick and old beyond his years, and
    2) His awareness of what history would say about him, did he runaway and abandon the capital when the Russians were at the door?, don't suggest a getaway.
He could barely climb the the stares to leave the bunker to greet the Hitler Youth. Making a daring escape was beyond his ability, physically. And he feared, quite correctly, being captured alive...
That's just my take based on what
    I've read & seen.
