Save your parsley stems! They're great for veg or chicken stock, and you can use the stems to season oil for stir-fry dishes (and other sautee things like that). Just toast the stems in oil for a little while, then cook with the oil. Also thank you, I was looking for a video exactly like this.
I planted curly and Italian parsley in my garden; the caterpillars love this in my zone 6 garden. I’m trying to share with them because of the type I have turn into a pretty butterfly. What would you do about the caterpillars? 🐛
HI Karen, I would probably plant more to share with the caterpillars. Maybe even make a butterfly safe house for them. Maybe gently relocate if they are demolishing all of my parsley.
Thank you for showing me how to harvest.. flat for me but you have convinced me to try curly
Harvesting my first curled parsley, I’m so proud of myself for growing it so well!
Definitely Italian. Thank you for this information. It is very helpful!

Your videos inspire me to spend more time outdoors. 🌿
I was growing curly parsley then switched to Italian. But after seeing this, I might switch back! I love tabouli too!
Team Curly for the win! Good to know how to harvest as I've always cut from the top and obviously I know now I shouldn't.

I grow my parsley in a pot. Should I find a shady spot. I am in the mid west but as of late it has been super hot.
I'd probably give it some afternoon shade at least in heat
@@Gardenary thank you 🙏🏻
