Take a ride on a bici taxi in Holguin, Cuba

There are more pollution free bicycle taxis in this Cuban city than motorized taxis (car, bus or truck which tend to be several decades old). Another no-emission mode of transport is the horse-drawn buggy. Interestingly, the large majority of these urban transport providers are private, often one-man businesses. The transport sector is overwhelmingly male dominated. Urban
transport is to some extent a symbol of Cuba's current partial marketization. Lots of enthusiasm and initiative, but as yet very poor infrastructure of technology and supplies.
