It is a pity that many Britons only know about Spain Magaluf, Benidorm and some beaches, they forget that Spain is the European country with more forest areas and with more climatic variety in Europe, there are high mountains, rivers, lakes, deserts, forests, meadows and a lot of history. Thank you for your contribution to project another image of Spain away from the noise of the coastal discos.
Years ago, When I was backpacking across Western Europe, I was just outside Barcelona, hiking in the foothills of mount Tibidabo. I was at the end of this path, and I came to a clearing, and there was a lake, very secluded, and there were tall trees all around. It was dead silent. Gorgeous. And across the lake I saw, a beautiful woman, bathing herself. But she was crying ...
Not so far from where you drived with your car you have el Pantà de Terradets, and in winter mornings it can get pretty spectacular, because you can see the snowed Pyrenees on the background and sometimes have quite a lot of fog at surnise. And if you're lucky and it's a quite day it looks like a mirror of the snowed Pyrenees. I am from that area and I travel around Catalonia quite often. I'm new to this channel so I don't know if someone has already told you about this places, but I would try to go to el Prat del Cadí during winter, or early spring when there's still snow. From the town of Estana it's a pretty easy hike just about 1 or 1:30 hours, depending on how much ice you come across. Another easy trip, not physically demanding and just about 2h drive from Barcelona is from the town of Bagà, you can take a road that goes up into the mountain to el Coll de Pal. I also like to do it during winter time, usually the road is open of snow but you can check it before hand online. And from there you can see the Pedraforca, el Moixeró, walk up to la Tossa d'Alp or many other easy hikes with good views. On clear days you can even see Montserrat from up there. Another one of my favorites is to see the sunrise during winter al l'Escala, on la Costa Brava, from the area of the highest part of the town, called Montgó, you can see the whole bay and the snowed Canigó on the background. A beautiful contrast. And then you can spend your day at el Cap de Creus, or from places like Palamós you can walk the camí de ronda and see many different beaches that you can only access hiking. And if you like the Parc of Aigüestortes but you feel there's too many tourists, you can go to l'estany d'Airoto, it's very close, and about a 3 hour hike with way less people. Another amazing place is la Val d'Aran, where you can even drive to places such as els Uelhs deth Joeu or el Saut deth Pish, and of course you have several hikes that start from those points.
An underrated place in Spain is Cabo de Gata, It's a virgin natural park in Almeria (South East of Spain) There you'll find dessertic landscapes, virgin beaches, crystal blue waters and some quiet white fishing villages. It's also a cheap destination as it's not as packed with tourists as the rest of the mediterranean coast. You'll feel like you are in Mars there. There is also a dessert where hollywood western films were filmed, it's called Tabernas Dessert.
Three letters W O W that puts climbing catbells in Lake District to pissing shame the wildlife the weather the colour of that water even the footlong hanging sweaty sandwich looked damn edible. I know you guys work terribly hard but u must love your lifestyle it’s truly awe inspiring. Keep it up lil beans COOOKE OUT!!!!
I wanted to learn about less touristic places in Spain. I love your tours and you guys are a lot of fun to watch..Greetings from a mexican living in North west of United States!
Guys. Looks beautiful. We live close by. I am Swedish but my beau is catalonian and its a BIG insult to compare Serrano to Parma 🤣 glad you enjoyed tho. Looks beautiful :) //New to the Chanel
What a lovely couple... enjoyed your video and the takes of the spectacular place.. .greetings from California (Los Angeles) a Peruvian-American lover of nature..
This gets a big thumbs up. My wife and i are retired and living in Catalunya, under the Tivissa hills. We will most certainly visit this place, it looks very much like Siurana, with a touch of the El Chorro Gorge in southern Spain. You two come across very professional, a job well done!
I hiked this a couple of years back on a cold December morning - I wrote a piece on it for baldhiker which you can easily find. It's a great spot but if you are looking for rival walks then the Cares Gorge in the Picos de Europa is definitely worth a look, or the Ordesa canyon in Ordesa y Monte Perdido national park although both are on a track which is slightly more beaten then this. Try Aiguestortes NP, La Garrotxa, or La Cerdanya for more great Catalan hiking spots.
you should go visit Vall d'aran in the winter....its literally like the swiss alps...and nobody knows about it...big part of Catalan culture...the Pyrenees are our home
So incredible!! What an overwhelmingly beautiful, awe inspiring place to hike. The looks on your faces say it all. When they are not pressed against a rock face. Ha! Very cool video!
Wow!! This is easily one of the most beautiful places I've seen on youtube and I can't imagine the impression in real life! Great video guys! You got a new sub! Cheers from Boston!!
Congost de Mont-Rebei is absolutely amazing, we found it almost by accident and spent all day there. We also visited Parc d'Aigüestortes, about 80 km north from the Congost, and it was maybe even more impressive. If you enjoyed Catalonia I would recommend you to visit also Northern Catalonia (which is in Southern France), I absolutely loved it.
hope you two didn't get sunburned/heatstroke from your day of hiking in the hot sun! that water was beautiful! regarding the vultures, I seem to recall reading that they can have an EIGHT FOOT wingspan, so, yeah, they are pretty huge!
Spectacular scenery! Finding a place like this not overrun with tourists or overly commercialized is priceless. Truly what I love to see and do when I travel. Video was gorgeous, like watching a National Geographic special! Great work!🥰🏞👍
I m sorry to tell you but you ve taken the long route ....if you continue on the path you can find a parking. I ve parked there and my route was 2 hours tops from parking to the end of the carved path on the mountain... I ve been there twice and I would like to go again in the future
You guys are uncovering so many spots that really nobody knows about except locals. That place was so incredibly beautiful and the water so blue. I envisioned diving into the water. Thinks for taking us with you on your journey. I feel quite comfortable inside with air and a beer watching this. :)😂😂
Hey! I came across your video through a search. I have a question. Is it best to hike that mountain ⛰ early in the morning, like starting at 7:00am? That way it should be cooler, than at 10:00am and so forth.
Your kitchen has a steering wheel?!?! I'm employing the wrong kitchen designers. Not sure I would hack that walk but glad you did it for me, some awsome views
Like your new style vlogs. Very funny to see you both just enjoying life. Not just filming everything you eat. Unlike some other vloggers so boring. Really funny trying to cool down on the rock😁😁😁and yes we're from bristol
I am planning a trip to the Pyrenees this summer, 2020. After watching your video I have now put Congost de Mont-rebei Catalonia on my top destination list. I would like to know what month you were there? I read that May was the rainiest month and that temperatures in the Pyrenees in July and August only reached 68 degrees as a high. Either that was incorrect information or you were having a freak heatwave during the time you were there. I'm not a hard core hiker, but, I love to take pictures. Any other destinations or suggestions you have for me would be greatly appreciated. I really loved your video. Cathy
We were there in late May/early June.. it was pretty consistently hot during the day and then cooler in the evenings. So happy to hear you've added it to your destination list - you wont regret it! We also loved the hiking/nature in Bulgaria - plus it was cheap and not very busy. Enjoy the Pyrenees!
Thanks guys! Yeah of course! If you get hired, they throw $20 my way too.. so it's a win for everyone! Here you go: www.cambly.com/en/tutors?referralCode=emma145 Good luck!
Hey Beanos dias. Americans overuse the word awesome. I'd forgive them for saying the scenery in the video is awesome. Gracias por la película realmente beano.
Wow, the Bay of Fundy looks very cool! Canada, in general, seems like a pretty epic destination for nature lovers.. it's only a matter of time until the beans go there I recon!
@@TravelBeans your welcome anytime ,, might wanna plan a trip through the months of May through to late sept though because the winter months can be very cold and snowy LOL

YNWA. Hey let's face it you wouldn't want to be walking alone on that path.Tis a pity you have done Turkey already cause that's where the next Champions League Final is. ;0)
Another fun video from my favorite BAM's (broke ass millennials) The English pronunciation is so bad that even Americans can spot it so it is hopeless. If you did want to improve, you could start with the word "pronunciation" OR, don't bother, we understand you fine. Keep up the good work, your videos always put me in a good mood. Love and safe travel to you both.
That narrow cliff path looked very familiar, Spaghetti Western circa 1970's, they were all shot in Spain and now we know where. For f*** sake get some hats, we don't want to see you in some foreign A & E with heat stroke. 💋💋👸🧔

11:08 that layers in the rock combined with the contrast of the green nearby - absurdly beautiful and outstanding ! Just WOW !!
The path and gorge are not a secret spot. Normally you meet quite a few tourists there. Otherwise, however, it is absolutely worth seeing.

Alex - try jamon iberico instead of serrano. It's a bit more expensive but i'd say it's worth every penny (or cent).
