If anything, I wish that they would add like a free roam mode that would allow you to explore any mentioned that you wanted to that was still haunted so you could still bust some ghosts, but you don’t have to suffer through the monotony of the mission system but then again, we don’t know what they could be planning because it’s just way too early to say
Ok this might sound like a hot take- but I don't really want them to get rid of the mission structure. I kinda like being able to reply missions like Paranormal ambush from time to time. If it really comes to it I wouldn't mind then getting rid of the mission structure for a more free style exploration, as long as they find a way to allow us to replay missions in some way. Also they better leave scarescraper the way it was
@@Stratilex Oh yeah, they could follow in Resident Evil 4's footsteps and have missions be replaced with chapters. After each chapter, you would either have the option to save and continue or save and go back to the lab.
I think having two joysticks now is a big upgrade in itself. I hope they add dust, more flashlight effects, make the game darker, (which is probably asking too much for Next Level Games or who ever is making it) and don’t have E.Gadd interrupt gameplay when calling you and instead let you move around while he’s mentioning your next objective kinda like how the Arcade version did it. If it’s Next Level Games, they will most likely match the voice clips with the mouth movement better.
I really hope they add dual stick controls. They don't have to rework the process of capturing ghosts, but it would be great if you could freely aim the Poltergust
I'm excited for this visual enhancement to come out. One of my bigger issues in dark moon was that the game didn't look all to great (even when compared to other games on the 3DS like the remake of the first game). So to see the visuals looking slightly better is a nice thing. I didn't mind the mission structure and controls in dark moon so if they come back that won't be a problem for me. Although I would like for them to remove the filler missions, improve the atmosphere, improve the ghosts, improve the combat, improve the collecting money aspect, and rework some bosses (especially the stair case one).
Hopefully they reconfigure the controls to use the 2 stick setup that the original game was literally designed around, and that the third game uses really well. And then they may as well throw in whatever pseudo-raytracing thing they used in 3. (I still dont understand how a game as visually stunning as 3 can run on switch.)
The thing that would "Fix" feature that most LM1 hate is making another file type it would be put at start of making new file you would get an option to make a "level based" and "free roam" types. when completion a level on free roam type e.gadd would call you to say what to do BUT not teleport back to bunker and when beating a boss you would get to bunker to return a piece of The dark moon and talk to E.gadd and instantly go to next mansion. When you beat King boo you will be able to chose the mansion in bunker you would like to replay but the replay would be at the beginning and after beating mansion boss at bunker you would chose another one. So yea that's my suggestion.
Imo, the mission system is 99.99% not getting removed. Three reasons for me believing this. One, at some points in the game, E-Gadd has to give you certain items or fix them in order for you to progress. Two, removing the mission structure would mean removing the ranking system of 1-3 stars you get on each level which was a major part of 100% that I don't see them removing. Three, at some points in the game, at the end of a mission, there are "point of no return" spots in which the only way to get out of them is by getting sent back to E-Gadd's lab. So yeah, the mission structure is most definitely staying and if it does get removed, this comment will be super akward
Never played dark moon, so I’m happy. Would have been cool if they brought back the og and dark moon together like they just did with pikmin. They are definitely going to remake Luigi’s mansion for the Nintendo switch 2 though COPIUM
I dont really care for the mission structure either, but it is the structure of the game for a reason. The game would need to be fundamentally different in order to abandon the mission structure, and at that point, would it really be a Dark Moon remaster? Examples: If you didn't go back to the lab, how would you get upgrades? Would you only be able to get upgrades after every mansion? That would throw the balance off a bit, and as a result they would need to redo a lot of the game. Same thing with stuff like Polterpup, or the toad missions. Would they just get rid of the screenshots that the toads bring back to the lab? I think if they were going to rip the mission structure out of Dark Moon, it becomes a different game...
For the upgrades, it can be that when you reach the amount to get a new upgrade, you’ll get a prompt telling you you can go back to the lab (through the pause menu) to go back and upgrade your stuff. And I think for those missions, the toad missions obviously you’d still go back to the lab after. Like there are certain missions that require you to go back to the lab, which makes sense for those to be kept in. I mean like for example, you get a key to the next area then E. Gadd brings you back… it can be reworked I think. Only time will tell haha
I’m really intrigued to see how the remaster will turn out. If they’re able to fix the problems with the game that would be insane. Can’t quite believe they’re actually doing this
Dark moon was one of my all time favorites on the 3Ds! While I did wish for the first game to also get the Switch treatment. I’m still very excited to play this!
I don't think they will remove the mission structure because that would mean the entire structure of the game would need reworking. As much as it stinks to have to be pulled out of the experience every 20 minutes I suppose that's dark moon, and I hope they focus on improving some of the filler missions and removing some clunky parts out and perhaps adding new modes. It's likely the price of this will be similar to buying the original 3DS game so for the money we'll be paying it would be nice to maybe get a bit of DLC or maybe even write in a few new missions for the Secret Mine. I want to see a darker, or at least an option to make the lighting darker, and it would be nice to be able to walk around in E-Gadd's vault this time around. Little changes here and there would go a long way for this one!
For me at least, the combat is one of the best parts of the series. I return to Luigi's Mansion and Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon because the combat was better in those instances than in the third game. So it will be a blast to play Dark Moon on the big screen with two joysticks!
I highly doubt it will just be a visual enhacnement. That would be lazy. I think they will remove the mission structure or keep it but make it less annoying.
they're retexturing everything in the game and enhancing every single model, not to mention that it must've been a pain to just make the game work on switch because it was originally a 3DS game. So if that's what's lazy to you, idk what isn't
The fact that we are getting pikmin 1 and 2 for $50 in HD and this is just Luigi’s mansion 2 “visually upgraded” is super disappointing. Why not 1 and 2? If it really is just the first it better be $40 like Metroid Prime and have equally impressive visual upgrades.
I love Luigi’s mansion I haven’t played the first game but I have played Luigi’s mansion 2 and 3 I love the games they are great and I can’t wait for the 2nd game to come to the switch
I’m just hoping nintendo/next level games have a valid reason for making a LMDM remaster At all. Like in the next trailer, they would drop an LMDM + (a new LM story) or something. (Kinda like mario 3d world + Bowser’s fury.) if they don’t do something like that, then i hope to god that it’s price is no higher than $40, like metroid prime remastered.
the milkening has begun
🙂
What would be really cool is if they added Luigi's Mansion arcade as a bonus where you get to use the joycons or something
Fr
I wonder if King Boo here will be as expressive as he was in Luigi's Mansion 3
I don't think anything's going to change but the graphics. If that were the case they probably would of said remake not visually enhanced.

maybe have the game flow without the structure but then let you go back to a "mission" or like a chapter to do things
@@Stratilex I like that idea actually. In the end I'll be pretty much happy with anything as long as they don't change the game a whole lot
@@EthanMastercrafter they probably won't change really anything cause they are really pressing the fact that this is a "visually enhanced version"
