a faint smile broke through
your cold gaze.
A promise of love,
Madonna in Glory,
sapphic waves of trivial happiness.
I fear my pain will drown you completely,
all things I touch seem to hold on loosely
in the fragments of memory.
How clearly I understand
the meaning of longing,
profound in the state of hunger.
Never did I imagine seeking
such satisfaction
in the smallness of being-
that is until
she looked over at me.

I’m not a native speaker either but I’ll try to explain, “sapphic waves”, sapphic is a poetry style but also means women loving women “trivial happiness” happiness that has a little value. Whole it becomes “Little value of happiness when you feel gay”(?) this is what I think it is

Hi,
I hope you are seeing this because I am putting a lot of my heart in here. So the quarantine came and we all have to spend a lot of time locked up between our walls. I started watching a lot of youtube and other stuff wich have taken much time from me. I was looking so much to find a person who would inspire me and then I found you. I understand the sentiment. But I would contend that I always saw “ a promise of love” as hope. Something akin to soap a drop of soap clearing away oil in water. Things become clearer and with that clarity we can remind ourselves the of what is possible after all the “pain” and muck is scraped away. And with that do what you will Orion. Enjoyed the content.
