2007 ford s-max windscreen washer pump fix

the squirters stopped working but I could still hear the pump running. I wanted to take the pump out but wasn't sure how to get to it. I eventually found that the pump is easy to get to from underneath after taking the pan out. this video is the story of my mistakes, but also shows where the pump is and how to get to it.
the problem was due to thick muck (maybe mould?) blocking the filter that is right behind the pump. the pump comes out by just pulling on it.

@@58wmh it’s ok I’ve managed to sort it now as we didn’t realise from 14:00 on film he actually realised you could get to the pump from underneath as you could remove the plate from under bumper. So all working now!

Came looking for a vid on how to replace the pump and after finding your vid I quickly found mine was just blocked with the same gunk and the pump is fine. Thanks 👍

Great video. I only get water through rear washer, even when I use the front. Am sure it's a blocked one-way valve. Thanks for showing how to access

I thought it would help me get to a hard to reach bolt without taking the whole bumper off. It’s such an old car it doesn’t matter if it has a few holes.
