- This episode is from my little exploration of Namib-Naukluft National Park - one of the most popular destinations in Namibia. After a night in the camping bathroom I got up ridiculously early to catch a lift to the heart of the park. Walking around the mysterious Deadvlei, Sossusvlei, Big Daddy and Big Mama dunes was just something else. And let's not forget about the Big Mini Dune, which I managed to conquer!

You were probably wise not to climb a big dune. I tried once in Morocco, to watch the sunrise over the desert. It was so hard. The sand was very fine. You slipped back so much you had to do 3 or 4 steps to get 1 step forwards. After about a third of the way up I gave up and sat right there to enjoy the sunrise. Some of the party didn't even make it that far.

Right away I noticed the motion of the bike. To wear the tires more evenly and not burn the flat spot in them from continuous riding. Makes sense to me!

I live precariously through the lives of adventurers. I used to ride in my younger years but never, with the exception of daydreams, occurred to me to do world tours, a few excursions in regional trappings but nothing even close to your amazing adventures. I envy all the wealth you’ve acquired and all that’s to come. The only suggestion I have is your choice of accompanying music - but this is a biopic of your life not mine.
