- In this video I unbox the new CSJ S171 Pro (2020 version) and also do an outdoor flight test on a slightly windy day at the end of the video.
Now, I didn’t expect for it to perform so well outside but this little drone is quite the flyer I have to say. What impressed me the most was its ability to hover in the air so well with out have any optical flow lens to assist it and only works on a barometer to help it distinguish the height through air pressure. The brushless motors are okay for a drone this size. The video quality is 720p HD at was seems to me to be a 4:3 image ratio. Although, it does come in a 1080p and “4K” version-and that just means that the video has been up scaled to a mimic a 4K image size but you’ll never get the real quality from this drone’s camera, so don’t expect it. The FPV transmission feed has a 2 second lag when receiving signal through the phone’s App. You’re able to get better range distance using only the remote but not that much, maybe 30-50m out and 10-20 meters up. Now this flight test was conducted on a fairly windy day and it flew pretty well, so I think that it’ll perform really well on a calm and sunny day for sure.
I give it a DS (Drone Syndrome) rating of 9 out of 10 for a mini drone at this price point.

I have the LSRC mini which is almost identical to that one, it’s a lot of fun for in-house flying and outside with very little wind. The camera on those little guys is not to bad at all. Really enjoy your videos please keep them coming and have a great day.

It truly is. I really enjoyed buzzing this thing around. I was actually surprised that it held so well outside with wind hitting it from all sides. Its a tough little guy.

Bought it, didn't come with the app manual and was able to use ur QR code to download it so thx sir. I liked it camera is pretty bad but I think that's to be expected for the price, any recommendations for the next "cheap" level after this? kind of getting the taste for it
Hi, thanks for your comment. That’s odd that it didn’t come with the manual. You should contact customer service and complain about that, maybe they can refund some of your money back as the order was missing parts. Yes, I have the 1080p version and its not something to film videos or a movie with. Now they have a “4K” version with an optical flow lens on bottom but again, the camera quality is not something that stands out on this drone. In terms of a next level drone to get a better feel of the hobby and get better quality photos and video if your a beginner?..... I’d say the

They are great drones to start off with and get a feel of the photography/video side of the hobby. They don’t have a 2 or 3-axis gimbal to stabilize the video but the quality is far better than the CSJ S171, especially for photos which are in 4K resolution.
The Visio Battle Shark is also a good step up at a reasonable price. 👍

The E88 is slightly bigger and the camera is pretty much the same as the CSJ 171 if you order the 1080p version. The new version of the 171 now comes with optical flow lens too. They’re both toy grade drones with brushed motors

You just pull it off. It won’t break. It doesn’t clip on permanently

Hi i have a question do i need licenses because when i buy it in usa and i go to canada for a trip would the security ask me for the drone licenses because it 370 gram please
This drone does not weigh 370grams my friend. It’s a toy drone and you do not need a license for it. You will need to register with the FAA and get a Trust Certificate for traveling. Not sure what CA will require of you once there. You need to research this more.

@@detodounpocopablopoe8618 Ok. So I’d recommend you buy a mini drone with a gimbal to stabilize your video. You can buy a DJI Mavic Mini but not sure you can get one right now for $300 new in box but they will have the Mini SE available soon and that one should cost around $249-300 but I’m not sure yet.
If you want to buy something cheaper that’s also a mini and has a gimbal and is good for a beginner as yourself, then I’d recommend the SG108 Pro which you can buy here: bit.ly/3wQaF5d
It has GPS, 5GWIFI, 25 minutes battery time, records 2K video, 4K photos on an SD card, and it has a 2-axis camera gimbal stabilizer.
