There were some consistency issues in the game. One being that traps, made of non-magical items, could harm creatures resistant to greater magic weapons. Demogorgon could take a powerful spear blow from an opponent without losing a single life point, but took 100% of the damage from simple traps, although made from objects with equal or even lower penetration capacity. Reason why using traps (Yoshimo) to kill him is absurd and is like taking advantage of a design bug.

Thanks for the comment. Fully agreed on that. Traps are dirty efficient. Additionally arrows, bolts etc. especially with Boots of Speed are really op in most cases :)
