I'm glad that there's one such company that's truly trying to revolutionize gaming single handedly, as no one else gives so much priority to gaming as Sony does. Take a bow Sony!
Everyone talking about FPS, but any game that has a run button, action button, map, and [game specific] button will be getting the use of all four paddles. I don't play FPS but I do play a lot of 3rd person games and four paddles is great for those. Sometimes even just the ability to shift down the R buttons is great. Instead of using R1 and R2, I can just pick one, and my index, middle, and ring finger are dedicated to a button. Sometimes three buttons is enough, but two often isnt.
@Imaginary User oh I know? I think I was commenting in response to people questioning why people want two paddles over four like the Xbox elite? But I pushed the wrong reply button or something. With that said, I'm still going with the Dualsense Edge over other 3rd party PS controllers with four or more buttons. The ergonomics and build quality of the controller is important to me to. Wanting the extra buttons is partly due to better ergonomics. I've already had pains in my hands playing certain games. Anything I can do to be more ergonomically sound to be preserve the longevity of my body is worth paying a little extra or sacrificing on a feature or two, like buttons 3 and 4.
I am wondering if you can customise the back buttons to use accessibility options? I am visually impaired and I use the magnification a lot but using it can be a pain because you need to press the PS button and the square button pretty much simultaneously and often results in accidentally just pressing the PS button or square.
I’m sorry but $199.99 / £209.99 is absolutely ridiculous for a controller. I would’ve preferred them to split this into an entry level package, with just the controller / cable for around the 170 mark, and a pro package that includes everything else for the higher price. That way at least it lowers the barrier for entry for the controller itself. In this economy they think people have that amount of money to drop on a single controller?
I think it's only worth it, if the warranty and return policy is excellent AND if they DON'T make a second controller in the series that's the same price or even more (which you know they will). Otherwise, I personally believe the base ps5 controller is excellent as someone who's fortunate enough to game on both pc and PS5. I think it really depends on how much you someone utilizes their ps5 console. Otherwise, feel free to go purchase a few games since all the new gen games are $70 as well smh (3 new games will equal the price of this controller, or may even be less if you factor in tax and warranty on the controller).
Only problem I have is that it doesn't have four back buttons like the Elite Series 2. From what I hear, this can make a big difference when it comes to controller competitive play. I know a mate who waited to pre-order a new flashlight (yes THE flashlight) not an actual flashlight. 😂
I'm well aware of this, yet still preordered the GoW one ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@Its-Triple-S but who was the flashlight modeled after 🤔 cause then the pre-order could be justified
Sony never ceases to amazed us!!! 😁
This is the most advanced controller I’ve seen 👌🏾
I've had my PS5 since release and the controller has been in use since, issues with drift are easily fixed with some isopropyl alcohol, some tweerzers and a cotton swab.
Love the features… the price not so much - almost as much as a Xbox Series S 😂
How much costs?
@@EastpakOriginal I think it’s $200
240

@@EastpakOriginal its $200 €240 £210
Can’t wait to buy this controller and have stick drift a week later!
Right😭
I typically don’t care about pro controllers because I’m just not that type of gamer but this is nice!
That’s a fine looking controller. I like it
So many new features.. but is stick drift fixed??
I'm glad that there's one such company that's truly trying to revolutionize gaming single handedly, as no one else gives so much priority to gaming as Sony does. Take a bow Sony!
lol
This has been a thing for Xbox for like 8 years now bro what
More like double handedly haha 😅
Give an award to the editor 🔥
Wow, Thanks PlayStation you gave me my gift, The best company ever! Im gonna subscribe
I really like the easily changeable sticks, it will help greatly improve the lifetime of the controller, cool!
And I hope they would be affordable, like $10 to $15 a pair
@@VergilTheLegendaryDarkSlayer lol more like 40$-50$
@@donkalinga3059 $40 to $50 a pair? You're better off staying with the base controller
Bruh buy controller that use hall effect sensor instead
@@wotoha479 which controllers would that be?
Everyone talking about FPS, but any game that has a run button, action button, map, and [game specific] button will be getting the use of all four paddles. I don't play FPS but I do play a lot of 3rd person games and four paddles is great for those.
Sometimes even just the ability to shift down the R buttons is great. Instead of using R1 and R2, I can just pick one, and my index, middle, and ring finger are dedicated to a button.
Sometimes three buttons is enough, but two often isnt.
FYI the dual sense edge only has 2 buttons in the back.
@@walksoflifesixnine i think you can turn it left and right so 2 buttons for 1 stick..
Definitely copping when it gets released in January 🤩🔥
@JACK FROST its an improved and highly customisable controller so the price is justified.
@@scr3am273 😐
Dayum that is a very slick design with so many customizable options :0
I have the Xbox elite controller and I can already tell that this is going to be a massive step up from that. Can't wait to get my hands on one!
How do you use a elite controller on PlayStation

Okay now this is actually an game changer right here. Now I got another thing to get when I attempt to get an ps5
the cleanest looking controllers ever made and the swappable stick modules fixes stick drift way more effectively
I am wondering if you can customise the back buttons to use accessibility options? I am visually impaired and I use the magnification a lot but using it can be a pain because you need to press the PS button and the square button pretty much simultaneously and often results in accidentally just pressing the PS button or square.
@UA-cam Userman I have tweeted them about it but I highly doubt I will get a reply.
You might be ableto bind button combinations but we'll have to see
@@dudeguy8553 i hope so. If you can, I’ll buy one instantly.
Yes this is the controller that I’m waiting for!
GG Sony! Never thought I'd see something this customizable and sturdy coming from them. Now just make some more PS5s.
they are giving their best lol it's not like there's no demand
Papa Sony paid a lot of money so that this video can look so CRISP on UA-cam .
i just got mine today and it's everything I've ever wanted out of a PS controller!! they totally nailed this one!
How is it rn?
Looks absolutely amazing with all the added features, total dream come true. But the €240,- price tag is a bit meh.. imo
if it cost 200 usd its 200 euro where to you see 240 euro?if its 240 euro it would be 240 usd
Would love this, hoping they release a midnight black one at launch as well.
I'm hoping they'll either make all color options like with the controllers we have now or sell colored attachments 🙏🙏
i'm blown away by the quality of your content!
I’ve already preordered this beast and all I gotta do now is work hard at my job and be patient for it’s arrival💙
Same
😂 just ordered it for my boyfriend… it will be there for his birthday
I’m sorry but $199.99 / £209.99 is absolutely ridiculous for a controller. I would’ve preferred them to split this into an entry level package, with just the controller / cable for around the 170 mark, and a pro package that includes everything else for the higher price. That way at least it lowers the barrier for entry for the controller itself.
In this economy they think people have that amount of money to drop on a single controller?
Sick just when I got a ps5 new controller comes out😂
become a youtuber and write off buying the 200 dollar controller as a business expense
😠😠😠
I’ll be doing the unboxing subscribe I already preorder mine
Same. I just got a ps5, and then I saw this 😍
@@Difas0 yep that's what they all do or they return it after if they don't want to keep it for themselves
Its amazing how far technology has advanced
Only 2 back paddles? 😔 I use all 4 on my elite series 2 controller
I use a mouse and keyboard mainly, but this looks great, and might consider getting it.
When does these come out?!
26.1.2023
January 26th so in less than 1 month
I can't wait to edge with this new controller
I personally don't play a lot of competitive online but I still feel like going for a Scuf or Defy Gaming DualSense would be better. I guess we'll have to wait for the price to be revealed before jumping to conclusions about value.
its probs going to be like £175
Price has already been revealed. 200 usd I believe
You can’t begin to understand how disappointed I am that it only has 2 paddles that’s a game changer for me since I’m already on 4 paddles and wanted to switch to these now I cannot 😢
@@kurs3d280 yup, ExtremeRate 4 paddle kit on a regular dualsense is a better option at $120 total vs the Edge with only two paddles for $218 total cost
@@captaincrunch1707 do you have it? I might get it. I have an elite series 2 on pc and I hate that something always goes wrong with it I just want to try a ps5 w 4 paddles that’ll be more durable over time

What an amazing controller! Im trying to get the Ps5 this Christmas beacause I already have the Xbox Series X, and getting the Ps5 with the DualSense Edge will be a game changer! This trailer for this controller also has an Xbox Elite Series 2 controller vibe to it (Which I actually own!) So it will be really cool seeing Sony step up their PlayStation controllers! I feel that this will be a great step into the future with PlayStation controllers!
There's bundles going right now on amazon for PS5's
@Lzar_beams bruh 😂😂 just says what he wants & gets it
And if not on Amazon, you can surely find it in Walmart.

Me to. I love using my DS5 controller on the pc, but there are soo many games, even with ds4tool that just will not work with the controller. I have to keep an xbox one controller ( not bad either ) just for those games.
@@barrelracer318 That's because PlayStation controllers use Dinput instead of Xinput. Basically all games on PC support Xinput but Dinput support can be sparce. If you want to use your Playstation controller with everything I recommend DS4Windows as it will make the computer think the PlayStation controller is an Xbox controller and those games that don't work will. Also I know some games only work with the PlayStation controllers when wired which is strange.
@@crestofhonor2349 I use ds4 tool consitentaly. I even tried the ds5 tool that came out recently, and requires a payment.
