Brilliant once again...we stayed at the Grand in Scarborough, same chain as Adelphi, and loved it...great room, sea view, and paid £44...just can't complain at that...spotless room aswell...but answer to you final question...yes we would love to see you do more reviews like this, as we have 3 dogs aswell and refuse to leave them behind at home. ❤

It wasn’t as bad as I was expecting. I’ve stayed in a lot worse and paid a lot more over the years. I used to work in Liverpool in the Cunard Building and in the big black glass building Mann Island. I used to get the ferry across from Seacombe mulch nicer than the train especially in the summer. I would stay there a night for it’s central location and it’s iconic building status.
Great, honest, video. Being a full time van lifer (micro van). and sick as the proverbial dog at the moment, I was looking for cheap hotels and my default is always Travel lodge. Normally between 40 & 60 per night. However for one room tonight £110 - over inflated prices. So it’s going to be willowfields campsite for a couple of days to rest up
Hi guys, the Adelphi looks in a similar state to the Grand in Scarborough….not great but not dreadful either. You asked for a recommendation for an overnight stay, and please please go to the Schooner Hotel in Alnmouth. We stayed close by and went for a beer which was bad enough (only supped half the pint, not sure if they did Madri) the hotel room reviews kind of bear out what we experienced. It’s also supposed to be one of the UKs most haunted pubs….probably the ghosts of the previous owners reacting to how it is now! Keep up the great work, and maybe see you in Alnmouth (which is lovely by the way) soon!
The difference between the public areas & your room was huge ! Good value for money though & Pablo & Dora were welcome. We enjoyed a nose around, thank you.❤
Finding a dog friendly hotel in liverpool at that price is brilliant. I only know of Traelodge that allows dogs at £20 a night for each dog . Now, if it's for one night only or even a weekend, i would definitely use that hotel . On a last-minute booking for last weekend, i couldn't find anywhere in the centre for less than £300 a night without my dog . The marina motorhome parking was also fully booked ( £35 a night at the weekend £25 a night mid week) . Great vlog guys ❤

We've had Blunkett and Wonder building maintenance and decorating here... Apparently they worked on the wonky house that used be on the old Southport pleasure beech. Amazingly they B & W thought the house was straight.. Smiling in Southport 😊

Loved those drawers in the corner, Great point about water on that electric point, Recent bathroom remodel was top notch, Bathroom ceiling stains creative but no biggy as I don't walk on the ceiling, I love a room with a view, you did well there too, what no bible? all joking aside I think it was alright for the money, Downstairs its Brill (love the lady speaker) We have stayed in worse places and paid a lot more, I have to say I love your music choices, Lofi on the Bass is Beautiful. A nice review, Ive never been to Liverpool but that looks like a lovely historic hotel that I would be interested to check out. I did look on their booking site for 1 night next year at it was £189 for two of us for 1 night (no dogs) and the room offered seemed far nicer. So your room although it was very basic it is good value with the dogs, but you were very fair in your comments. Were you able to bring your dogs into the restaurant, or breakfast room in the hotel? Thanks btw for researching dog friendly hotels, there so few so its great to get your insights.

The Adelphi will forever be reminded me of tv documentary years ago….to those of a certain age it will always be “Just coowk will ya”……You gave a kind an honest review of a tired, old grand dame, so sad.
We did it early on in the year. 2nd floor we were on. Our room was massive ( check it out on our vlog ) Food was OK. We was the same as you, happy the bedding was clean. Although we wasn't as brave as you we daren't look at the mattress just in case 😅
We stayed there, i did notice i was left off the list of notable guests 😤in fact we had an identical view as yours too! Our room was quite a bit better but still very very tired looking :( it is a shame
Hi ya Andrew and Claire. Thank you for the great tour of Liverpool. However that hotel is the pits. Just going by the window area shows it's not cleaned or inspected properly. We always use Premier Inn can't beat it for value and every one we have been to are spotless. Used to work out the docks in Liverpool, heard some horror stories of what goes on there. Not exactly the south of france through your hotel room window... stay in your motorhome would be my shout 😁 We are hoping to be on the road in the next few days, thinking of heading over to the east side of the UK for a few weeks. Its a wee bit colder here than NZ but loving our first few days back in blighty. Always love your vlogs...
Brilliant really enjoyed the review, it does look a bit tired but cheap we were lucky enough to stay in the Hilton paid for by my old boss if you book the executive package free drinks!
Shame about the exterior noise, as I thought being at the end of the corridor you wouldn't have guests going by to their rooms all hours of the night with the communal doors banging. So I would look at the end room as a positive.
It was a very different vlog .not sure if I enjoyed it as much as motorhoming but it disturbed me greatly to see the dust and muck. I couldn’t have stayed so you’re braver than me😩
Another good video but a Britannia hotel oh dear . I've stayed in two different ones and promised myself never again . If you want a real adventure try the Britannia at Gatwick but don't take the dogs incase they catch something 😂

@YorkieMallarkeys the royal ascot ..carousel door was hanging off its hinges ..very gruby ..half the group got food poisoning and the rooms at night ..paper thin .you culd here everything going on after a guest invited people round ...my son still has night terrors and hes now nearly 30 was 12 at the time 🤣🤣🤣
@@markbowman7240 oh lord....well someone had had a dump in our shower....you could see they'd just picked it up and not scrubbed it after ...could see the turd curlage.. the mattress was a wet damp egg box...infact...that would have been comfier.. I got in bed at 4am....and I was walking down the sea front at 6 finding a cafe to get a breakfast....no way I was eating there .. problem was...the staff were so lovely we didn't want to upset them....however as we left ..one of our bunch joked that there's a sale on dysons at the moment 🤦 we'd paid upfront .arrived semi drunk in fancy dress...so we had to stay 😂
Hi Guys, unfortunately the Adelphi is part of the Britannia Hotel Group which is not a very reputable group. I stayed in the Adelphi in the early 80s for a Trades Union conference and it was a great hotel then. Alas, no more. Some of the bathrooms have lovely marble suites but you were not in one of them which is a shame. Glad you enjoyed 'the pool' and you're welcome back anytime. 2.5 is generous. There are plenty of hotels and even airB&B on board boats on the marina.
Hellooo Guy's, Wow, just like the titanic, the hotel standards have sunk. Didn't you dare remove the mattress protector 😖. We've watched prison documentaries with nicer rooms. Well done you two say it as it is no BS...in its prime it would have been the place to be but sadly it’s best days are behind it now (like mine are😂😂) I’ve stopped in a few very nice hotels and a few not so glam I remember staying a couple of nights in a raddisson blue hotel in London it was pricey but the room was that small you had to walk sideways round the bed like a crab🤣🤣great vid guys 👍🏻
There's a reason why Britannia Hotels are cheap and the chain is always in the bottom 5 hotels in the UK (usually occupying places 1-5 of the bottom 5). They also bought Pontins and buggered that up. Their business model in the past few decades was to get migrant housing contracts from the home office. This was like 4 in a bed... without the pickiness!!
It seems to be a big complaint these days, owners of Hotels and Motels, running them into the ground, rather than updating and modernising the rooms. The draws that couldn't open gives you some idea about their IQ. In rating Hotels, I always ask myself if I would invite Rachel Reilly to stay.
Don't know if you've seen the UA-cam channel 'the Macmaster'? He went there a few weeks ago in room 525, he said the corridors had a strong smell of bleach. His room wasn't too bad, but I think the hotel chain is onto UA-cam creators. Lol
I agree with your review--2.5. If you were paying more, then a 1, but you got a pretty good price, so I guess it's ok. Yes, I'd like to see some hotel reviews sprinkled in your content. 😊👍
Pity the room itself wasn’t as good as the lounge &other public areas looked. I’d say it’s had its day & needs too much money spent on it. Pablo & Dora seemed happy 😊
stayed for 5 days on a bus tour hotel downstairs was quant and lovely, room was bit ropey you could nearly walk round the radaitor it was so far off the wall but to be fair this was 2 years ago and was being refurbed staff where great ,food mediocre but hotel was well placed to visit the city .
Awww great first Liverpool video, this is not good. But seriously dogs in a hotel never heard of that .. not for me! Then again I have met a few dogs on Liverpool nights out …

Great price I would have slept in the lobby or function rooms. They looked better than the room. Pablow and Dora looked liked they had fun. Good job they gave fur coats. ❤
What you paid isn’t far off what you’ve paid for a patch of grass in a field in the middle of nowhere where the owner just has to cut grass and clean a few outside toilets. I think the problem is, with the money it costs to run the hotel and budget of the clientele dictate how much they can charge, so the house keeping and maintenance suffer.
Well that was different, never mind four in a bed, it looked like you would struggle with two🤪 few issues that should have been addressed just to make it look a bit more presentable, even with the dogs, they are just wee people that need to feel comfortable too. That room definitely has the wow factor. Wow, you charge for that? Maybe you need a review of a couple of other hotels at the same price as a comparison? Although I feel guilty suggesting that as its not a great experience for you. I stopped in a budget hotel in London a few years back, it was so grim I slept in my clothes on the bed and still had mite bites in the morning
Casa hotel in Yately Awful, reception staff polite, management rude, Delux rooms dirty, cheap sweat & blood stained pillows, no pillow protesters, dust impacted air vent in bathroom, every toilet in the building has encrusted discoloured scale, stained carpets, cobwebs etc I have 16 photos evidencing all my complaints, we checked out a night early due to complaints and was refused any form of refund because, wedding planner manageress said we gave a negative review (I have that response in an email 🤷♀️
Flippin' Eck. Arr've slept Army barracks better than that. It seems it wer 'all fur coat and no knickers', in my opinion. Find better next time eh Lad ? If ivver arr guz to Liverpooil arr definately avoid that stoppin' place, Dogs or No Dogs. Glad tha gave it an 'onest opinion.
If you stay in Liverpool again, I can recommend the Premier Inn on Albert Dock. Next door to the Beatles museum. Very close to the river Mersey. Excellent buffet breakfast too 😋.

Shame about the exterior noise, as I thought being at the end of the corridor you wouldn't have guests going by to their rooms all hours of the night with the communal doors banging. So I would look at the end room as a positive.

It was a very different vlog .not sure if I enjoyed it as much as motorhoming but it disturbed me greatly to see the dust and muck. I couldn’t have stayed so you’re braver than me😩

Another good video but a Britannia hotel oh dear . I've stayed in two different ones and promised myself never again . If you want a real adventure try the Britannia at Gatwick but don't take the dogs incase they catch something 😂

@YorkieMallarkeys the royal ascot ..carousel door was hanging off its hinges ..very gruby ..half the group got food poisoning and the rooms at night ..paper thin .you culd here everything going on after a guest invited people round ...my son still has night terrors and hes now nearly 30 was 12 at the time 🤣🤣🤣
@@markbowman7240 oh lord....well someone had had a dump in our shower....you could see they'd just picked it up and not scrubbed it after ...could see the turd curlage.. the mattress was a wet damp egg box...infact...that would have been comfier.. I got in bed at 4am....and I was walking down the sea front at 6 finding a cafe to get a breakfast....no way I was eating there .. problem was...the staff were so lovely we didn't want to upset them....however as we left ..one of our bunch joked that there's a sale on dysons at the moment 🤦 we'd paid upfront .arrived semi drunk in fancy dress...so we had to stay 😂

Hi Guys, unfortunately the Adelphi is part of the Britannia Hotel Group which is not a very reputable group. I stayed in the Adelphi in the early 80s for a Trades Union conference and it was a great hotel then. Alas, no more. Some of the bathrooms have lovely marble suites but you were not in one of them which is a shame. Glad you enjoyed 'the pool' and you're welcome back anytime. 2.5 is generous. There are plenty of hotels and even airB&B on board boats on the marina.

Well done you two say it as it is no BS...in its prime it would have been the place to be but sadly it’s best days are behind it now (like mine are😂😂) I’ve stopped in a few very nice hotels and a few not so glam I remember staying a couple of nights in a raddisson blue hotel in London it was pricey but the room was that small you had to walk sideways round the bed like a crab🤣🤣great vid guys 👍🏻

There's a reason why Britannia Hotels are cheap and the chain is always in the bottom 5 hotels in the UK (usually occupying places 1-5 of the bottom 5). They also bought Pontins and buggered that up. Their business model in the past few decades was to get migrant housing contracts from the home office. This was like 4 in a bed... without the pickiness!!

It seems to be a big complaint these days, owners of Hotels and Motels, running them into the ground, rather than updating and modernising the rooms. The draws that couldn't open gives you some idea about their IQ. In rating Hotels, I always ask myself if I would invite

Don't know if you've seen the UA-cam channel 'the Macmaster'? He went there a few weeks ago in room 525, he said the corridors had a strong smell of bleach. His room wasn't too bad, but I think the hotel chain is onto UA-cam creators. Lol

stayed for 5 days on a bus tour hotel downstairs was quant and lovely, room was bit ropey you could nearly walk round the radaitor it was so far off the wall but to be fair this was 2 years ago and was being refurbed staff where great ,food mediocre but hotel was well placed to visit the city .

What you paid isn’t far off what you’ve paid for a patch of grass in a field in the middle of nowhere where the owner just has to cut grass and clean a few outside toilets. I think the problem is, with the money it costs to run the hotel and budget of the clientele dictate how much they can charge, so the house keeping and maintenance suffer.

Awful, reception staff polite, management rude, Delux rooms dirty, cheap sweat & blood stained pillows, no pillow protesters, dust impacted air vent in bathroom, every toilet in the building has encrusted discoloured scale, stained carpets, cobwebs etc
I have 16 photos evidencing all my complaints, we checked out a night early due to complaints and was refused any form of refund because, wedding planner manageress said we gave a negative review (I have that response in an email

If you stay in Liverpool again, I can recommend the Premier Inn on Albert Dock. Next door to the Beatles museum. Very close to the river Mersey. Excellent buffet breakfast too 😋.
