Replacement of cells in Shimano system e-bike battery with original parameters 10S4P 36V 14Ah 504Wh.
The battery already had a significantly reduced capacity, so it was necessary to replace the old cells with new ones.

504 Wh is the current maximum achievable capacity with 3500mAH cells.

I had a very unpleasant experience. A client of mine, brought the functional battery and I in my tests I endeavored the battery! My tests consisted of checking the full capacity of the pack before balanced, which in the case measured 10.6Ah and how much capacity would have after the active balance. In the case measured 12.5Ah after the test. The stress range, from 2.5 to 4.2V by cell.
Never do this with BMS on, to do this test I should have removed BMS like Mcellbatteris said!

Doesn't it lock when you disconnect the BMS? Is the disconnection order first flex control series and then download or is it indifferent?

You need security Torx heads to remove the screws.
To release the two little covers for the screws, a good idea to lift up with a chisel from below. I cant see any way to remove these without some damage.

Hi, you can use scalpel or some blade. It can make some little damage but it doesn't matter.

Hi. Is there a way to "unblock" a blocked BMS on Shimano Steps, or will replacing the dead cells with new ones reactivate the BMS? I'm interested in repairing the battery for a Shimano Steps BT-E6010. Thanks!

Hi, we repaired several of these batteries and there wasn't any problem. BMS can be blocked when some of cells has lower voltage for longer time.

The standard capacity fo this bt8010 is 504wh, is it possible to replace battery cell with higher capacity lets say to get 630wh? I have 2 of those bt8010 one is the new one just bought it, the old one its battery capacity already drop maybe just 50-60% in full charge. I plan to send to battery repair shop and upgrade capacity if possible. Thanks

Hi, there is no chance to upgrade capacity. Cells has 3500mAh so final kapacity is 14Ah (504Wh).
