A different opinion is what the students refused to hear by rudely shouting down a speaker. If they defensible positions, they could have engaged the speaker and made him look like a fool. But when you can’t win on facts, the only other option is scream like babies and make the “bad man” go away! 😢 God forbid these morons ever end up having to defend this country in a war. The administrator had her prepared speech she was reading from. They intentionally brought him there, most likely under misleading terms, in order to berate him.

When I was young, people would love to tell you about how they went to a university and we would generally think that they were pretty smart. Nowadays, it might be better to keep such things to yourself.
Some of the people that I worked with didn’t have a college education and had lots of common sense and did an excellent job and some of the dumbest people were college educated and had no common sense.

The latest decree from Stanford states that all Latin terms and phrases used in legal discourse will now be replaced with pig-Latin which we'll soon be hearing in courtrooms all across the land.
It was not UTA (the UT system) that removed DEI policies from hiring and admissions last week - it was Texas A& M. It will now be based on merit. They followed suit with several other major university systems who realize that the medical field (for one) has to have the brightest and the best. And you can’t do that with the DEI policies. Affirmative action is ending too in many of our universities this week. Hopefully we will return to normalcy.

Worked in the engineering world for over 30 years. Not once did I ever meet a Stanford graduate that could pull their weight. It's a diploma not worth the paper it's printed on.
