I played around 30 games with spell mage on release and it really felt like yogg box was more of a liability than it ever was beneficial. The pool of 5+ cost spells is really bad on average unfortunately.

Agree, absolutely a liability. In each of my games, i got 777 from it and in many the wheel of death. Obviously, I fatigued myself to death. Sad.. no minion mage is a meme.
I always have fun with it and have rolled Wheel of Death more than once but still won. RNG and luck have a lot to do with it though.
I haven't played Hearthstone in about 5 years and quit because I was so bitter and tilted with Standard but after watching HS content lately, I started playing again and only running this deck and Whizbang decks and once again, Hearthstone is fun. I don't know if people hate No Minion Mage or something but people auto-concede quite a bit when the match starts.
When Allie starts humming is when you know you have a kino moment coming.

I played this deck a lot today, its fun, but I feel like it can use a little tweaking. I'm not a pro, so I'm just gonna wait until this is tweaked more. Really wanna play a lot of mage this xpac.

No fun. Most of time you will be already dead much sooner than big spells become effective somehow. Mage is greatest disappointment in this expansion. All other classes got really useful stuff, but mage just stupid random nonsence cards...only the freezing mini elemental feels good tbh, rest is just🥱😭🤢🤮
+ they took literally everything good from mage, thats why its really unplayable now
