- This is the Christmas Groove version of "Little Drummer Boy" from 2017. The Christmas Groove is an annual tradition in Northeast Ohio, where a group of musicians get together and put on a benefit concert to raise money for organizations that serve those in need in our community. This year, it was held at Grace C&MA Church in Middleburg Heights, Ohio.

Sat down at my drums today, wanting to play this epic classic for Jesus birthday, my own way.looking for inspiration and found this awesome , creative rendition. This brings me back 40 yrs to my own days in a marching band. You all are awesome.

My Christmas music enjoyment came to a crashing halt when I heard the first chord change of this arrangement. I'm going to give the benefit of the doubt and believe this chart was the result of a lost bet, a dare, a joke, or some other cruel act.
The appeal of the original was in the simplicity of lyric, interpreting arguably the most heralded, prophesied and meaningful event in Christendom.
I'm sorry all involved in this, barring, of course, the barbarous villain arranger, were so shamefully duped.
But the little drummer boy is about an inadequate, humble, simple boy. Nothing like this.
Well, if it's to raise money the more people they have participating the more friends and families will come and pay to see them. Plus they have to vary it from year to year and try to top themselves.
The band is awesome. But something is not right. I think the singer is singing in a lower chord than the rest of the band. Overall, Awesome band, not the right singer. The singer is great, but not for this band or song. Don't mistake me on this. He has a great voice but does not fit the band or song.

That guy is the drummer for the band and doesn’t wear shoes when he plays. Hence the socks.
This was excellent work for sure, great drummers and very tight for so many playing at once, but not so original. It's pretty much the same arrangement released by Jars of Clay in 2005 so I think they should've at least been given some credit in the description.
