    I really enjoyed this until the very end when it said only 2 finished. My brother finished 3rd in the ironman class in that very exact race. Even though he was an hour or so out of time limit he still finished. Good production though. My brother and his crew spoke very highly of Jeff on their return.

      @dougiequick1 5 років тому +4

      I'm sure that was what was meant by "finished" ...officially finished in the official results....should have clarified though ....is sort of a slap in the face for the ones that DID physically finish the course! Inside or outside the limit there should be a trophy for ANYONE that completes that course!

      Dougie Quick no if ur not on the podium u do not deserve a trophy. If you did not win, you don’t deserve a trophy.

      The entire point of the race for me personally is, to finish. You're not racing against other people.. You're racing against mother nature itself.

      smh..That would be a track yo. Baja is a 1000 miles of some complete unknowns. You can pre ride but spectators mess with course markers make random hazards. You ride the same track over and over.

      Some guy last year bought a ktm off the show room floor road from Chicago or somewhere up north to baja ran the entire 1000 and road it back home absolutely zero help other than gas at checkpoints no crew no sponcer just the money in his pockets so it doesn't take a whole lot but that's the true iron Man as far as I can tell nobody knows who the guy was just some random guy set out to cross off his ultimate bucket list item.

    I can not even imagine! Seriously? I just did a long ROAD ride a couple of days ago and after only a couple hundred miles I was zoning out....I Felt hypnotized or something ....I felt like I could just faint off to sleep and throw the bike away at the 80 to 90mph we were running at ....even in the twisties! And I was well rested too ....just age I recon ....although I recall slapping my own face driving cars even when young....almost need a tiny bit of some kind of legal speed or something! I'll try a sudafed next time (totally legal decongestionant they actually make methamphetamine from!) I just have no idea how guys can drone on for 800 frickin miles of dirt and rocks and silt and dust,,,,HOW??? It is almost an INSANE thing to even try!

      Luke von Two different beasts of a race. The hare scramble isn't 860+ miles bud. Although its a far more technical race. It takes two different riders to race each one successfully.
