@@nicholssawmillandmore two questions. Is this a Frick mill what do you have powering the mill?

      Hi! Thanks for the questions.
The sawmill consists of a Frick track frame, edmiston carriage, helle sawmill hydraulics controls, and mellot log turner.
We use a 125 hp 460 volt electric motor. Originally we used a 671 Detroit then a 250 hp 6068 john deere before we went electric.

Wonder if that oak was a sog. It sure was dark and smelly for a white oak. Sure enough to get the edger man scratching his head trying to figure out if he could get something out of it and a resaw would be nice but get a little loose a little. Good job.

I think it was a white oak but maybe I was wrong. But it definitely was holding water.

@@nicholssawmillandmore Awful dark but a sog would be dark. Poplar is. And if it was sunk it's hard to tell but the smell would give it away a lot.

Not gonna pretend i know your business. But would splitting that big boy with a chainsaw? Is that an option? I do understand sitting in the cab is better than standing in the yard. Just wondering about yield.

Thanks for question. We do split them if they are any bigger. Finding the time to do that though is hard. Thanks for watching
