I want to do this for my teen sim (my favorite) the house is super small and I decided to make a shed and use that as her bedroom. I want her to have privacy and comfort and im trying to make up for her not being ables to live in the actual house since her room is now the new nursery (my adult sim had triplets) but atleast shes getting a loft. ( hopefully)
Ive been wanting to do a floor plan with an open staircase and I think this tip will help a lot. Could you maybe do a short or speed build with a floorplan with an open stair case/ 2 story living room where you can see look down from the second floor and see the living space? Thank you for the tip 🙏
I was obsessed with building lofts for like a year but it was sadly all on a computer that died. I occasionally do this for tiny homes to make them feel larger
Did you have any tips or ideas doing this with the platform tool? I like experimenting with making cozy alcoves and like small bedroom nooks ~ still wish we could add stairs on a diagonal angle
The only issue is, this makes it unplayable as toddlers won't use the loft stairs (but thank you for the video - just the sims being buggy), and overtime, adult sims can't use the loft.
You broke this down a lot easier than any UA-cam video !
Um, yes. I've wanted to build a loft forever. This is super helpful.
omg trying to figure this out has annoyed me for so long x thanks

Thank you so much for posting shorts like this! It was concise and told me exactly what I needed to know in seconds. Love it!
I'm trying to find out how to get on to the 2 floor like whir the flat floor so I can bulid😊
I'm trying to do this inside a house I already built but when I try to place fences inside it makes the roof pieces clip in through the walls??
I'm having the same problem :(
do you just use the room tool ontop of eachother if you know what i mean??
hi, can u tell what mod u used to clip the furnitures together?
So how do we build one and give the building a roof?? Bc the lofted space doesn't count as a room so the roof just goes inside 😭
You kind of sound like Vixella. 😊 Anyway, thank you for giving me some awesome ideas! 💞
It causes roofs to appear inside of the lofted room. Is there a way to prevent this?
You need to use multiple roof pieces to avoid clipping! Or have a room separating the roof clipping from the room with the open area.
I love that you're sharing tips like that but goodness The Sims looks weird and shorts format
