I owned a bright red Vespa Sportique in 1964,when I was 16. It was my pride and joy. No crash helmets were needed at that point but before I sold it on, it was illegal to ride a scooter without one. It was a two stroke but some of the garages were a bit careless and put the wrong proportions of fuel in the tank. This happened to me once,the scooter died on me and I had to push it home - about 5 miles. Fortunately I had passed my driving test for a car and got my next pride and joy, a white mini. Memories, memories.
Vespa, from Italy with love
I've a vespa 150 Super, model 1963. It's two years elder than my father and some years younger than my grandfather. It was purchase by my granddad in the same year 1963.
Most of the time we had been just filling in the fuel and riding.
One day, while on the way back home from school, our car wouldn't go further. The driver called my granddad from a PCO. My granddad reached with his scooter, after enough waiting in vain for another car, he got tired and towed the car behind his VESPA SUPER, it worked and he towed us for the next three miles. MEMORIES.
This vehicle is now a decoration piece in our lobby.
I lived in Italy 4 yrs & saw many whole families on vespa, some with tools also! Wow!

I love VESPA
I am a New Zealand living in the moto city of Marrakech - Morocco. I absolutely love the Vespa. Such a cool peice of kit to buzz around the city and the Medina Souks. (It would be essential for my work) It is my dream to work hard to be able to afford one of these Vespas. I have tried to find a good second hand one but they are still out of my price range. And I really don't want to have to buy a chinese brand. Thanks Vespa for making such amazing scooters. The Italian dream right! Bright colours zipping around small cobbled streets throughout the breathtaking Italian cities or in my case the Ancient Medina of Marrakech. Cheers (A major fan)

Vespa is more than a scooter, Vespa represents design, art, and it's the icon of a generation. The communication strategy that Vespa has been following in the past years doesn't represent its spirit. It has forgotten what it was and what it is and every video they make they disappoint me more.Vespa has a enormous potential. There's no way that someone under 50 years old is going to buy a vespa with this kind of ads.

I just upgraded to one of these from a 2008 LX150, and I have a couple of gripes:
1. We can smell the exhaust when stopped at a stoplight. Never had this issue with the old LX150. Is this a common complaint? Will it go away after we break it in? If not, is there anything I can do to help?
(other small gripes)
2. The speedometer really should have the mph in big numbers and km/h in smaller numbers for the US market.
3. The dash should have a separate light for left and right turn signals. My old LX150 had separate indicators. Not sure why this one doesn't.
4. The seat hook is much lower and so less useful than the old LX150. Not sure why that was necessary or why they couldn't have installed a bigger hook.
Overall I like the Primavera though. Mileage is great; runs smooth. Hope I can live with these gripes. Hope someone has tips re: the exhaust issue.

Very beautiful lady. Unfortunately, had she & her friend taken a spill, she would likely have been needlessly injured. Asphalt or concrete could do a number on those nice legs. Recommendation -- if you care about her, give her some protective clothing.

"Gear" as you call it is impractical. The whole point of a scooter is open the seat, get the helmet and go, not put on "gear" for 10 min then go and burn in hell. I would also emagine how stupid do you look in that on a nice scooter.

We received our brand new Vespa (Primavera 125cc) 8 October 8th. We rode it for 5 days and got an electronic problem! Now already 6 weeks later still no Vespa waiting for a replacement part from Italy.
OK, no actions from Vespa. I start to get angry and will tell it worldwide!
