Massey Ferguson 698 power steering ram rebuild

After snapping the ends of the steering ram it was time to rebuild it as wet couldn’t find a replacement ram! New chrome rod and new seals, the rest was original.

That sprung ring clip expander is the sort of tool you borrow, buy one then for the rest of a lifetime never need to use again. Best to borrow it!

Haha yeah definitely! Chris said it wasn’t cheap. I looked at the trac’s as that needs done but looks like a circlip instead🤞

Nice seeing you keeping yourself on track 😉🤣.. hose clip pliers do a dam good job on those spring clips.. but at least they cant fly off and hit you in the face.. unless they snap 😮🤪. Stay safe 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

🤣🤣🤦‍♂️ only in my second attempt though 🤣. Yeah there a cracking pair of pliers, it took me an hour + to get the sorting out… 10 seconds with the pliers 😳

Good job 👍 isn't there adjuster's on the axle to atop it turning to much when on hard lock?she does sound nicer 👍👍
