    I love this!
    Looks like Jerry has decided to stick with his new centaur friend, mischievous little imp. I wonder if he will cause the humans to keep a closer eye on this other galaxy.
    Definitively not gonna be easy to keep Jerry away, his parents are probably going to sigh and let him be with Demblin a bit to hopefully quell his curiosity. The man proved himself kind and wise, perhaps a good influence on the kid.

    Great story!!! I loved how Jerry left his "translator/computer/communicator (?)" behind so he could keep in touch with his new friend. Reminds me of a Star Trek episode where McCoy left behind a communicator. The communicator had technology that was the basis of most of the Star Trek universe's tools/machines. It would allow the "aliens" to advance their technology by centuries. LOL!!!

      That’s like I recently learned in the destiny universe the machine race, the vex that are a big pain in the butt to fight, are only the worker drones and only in recent events. Did we open the gate for a single base soldier type to be in our solar system and it’s a raid boss or some other high level boss type.

      I get the distinct impression that the humans of this story are gathering materials and energy from portions of the multiverse that there isn't life due to slight differences in the fundamental forces making life impossible to experiment and craft weapons with. Like every human has access to infinite matter and energy nowadays and they've all agreed on where the fight is to take place (vaguely milky way and nearby intergalactic void in their original universe).

    • @ArchonSG1
      @ArchonSG1 Рік тому

      @@donanthebarbarian5177
      More like they had an inter-galactic war in the Milky Way and Humans have for whatever reasons, erradicated all life there other than humans an in their shame, have opted to save those who they can, and stay in the Milkway to continue to fight amongst themselves, since we humans know that we will as the wheel of time turns, come back to the same spot, doing the same thing, killing each other and anything that gets in our way.
      Choosing to say in a dead galaxy is one way to limit the damage we do.
      The other races that we see are those who they have tried to save, remnants from the Milky Way and have "uplifted" only to the point of them being able to survive on their own, minus external threats.
      The fact that an automated mining swarm was found in that Galaxy was a surprise and one they will correct, then leaving that Galaxy without human influence.
      Unfortunately or perhaps fortunately, Jerry has other ideas.

    that one despite being 'short' felt very 'grounded' ....as even those with the tech to remake bodies or re-boot brains and have nano swarms build things borderline instantaneously..
    cant bring those consumed back , all they can do is to try keep cheek so no tools of theirs becomes wayward
    this gives me a very tragic mental vision though of the harsh but loving gaia and other such celestial bodies , having been turned to cracked scared scorched relics of their old selfs for a long time , scorched as the winds of war left no corner of the milky way untouched..
    and that the origins of the main characters species and others of his galaxy in this story where something like say a future U.N & green peace or such getting very crude ,ruthless un-official channels messages from officers in various factions giving them a whistle blower last ditch head up that ... the war to end all wars , is starting ..agen..
    and all that studied history knows the slippery slope so either gather up as many species you can of loving gaia and other planets gen ed them to gain sapience and send them ..far... far far far far far away before its to late and they become collateral droplets of blood in the endless ocean of it thats on the horizon as a civilization capable to rip blackhole anchors for galaxies apart starts waging war once more :(

It incorporated the moon and probably all the interior planets as they orbited into it. Shoot, for that matter, assuming it hasn't moved its center from earth's orbit, it extends past the sun, so somewhere in the City you can step open a door and find yourself face to face with the sun. For a split second, at least 😂
