That's a fair statement or if you're asking me a question, they that's a fair question. There are a number of people I work with who suggest, "songs that'll change your opinion" regarding a certain genre or subgenre of music. I don't know if they genuinely think that their suggestions are going to change my opinion or whether or not they don't care and are just trying to compliment a song that they like.
Beyond that, I don't think that it's fair to say you hate something that you've never heard. You've got to be somewhat familiar with something before you can make an opinion regarding whether or not you like or don't like it.
