  • The ancient Roman Empire was far reaching and it included Turkey. It was amazing to see 2,000 year-old Roman ruins in Aspendos (Roman theater and aqueduct), Perge (Roman city), and The Asklepion (ancient healing center and psychiatric hospital). I had to remind myself that I was in Turkey and not in Italy.

Unfortunately Sergio, I find that a lot of people have a short attention span so I try not to make my videos too long but I appreciate your comment!

11:50 you know that turkey was the later capitol Constantinople near the end of the roman empire. (Eastern Roman Empire / Byzantine) in 1453 AD over 500 years ago what was left (very little) of the Roman Empire ended.

Good camera and voice. I liked the details shown and think of those who cut and laid that stonework. I have respect for roman buildings except for one flaw, at 5.37. It shows a lintel about to collapse. Lintels should be one piece, not 3 blocks like this one. Perhaps they thought they could get away with it ? I'm thinking they did !
