Thanks for sharing Rob, might just be what I’m after having a new shower just fitted today with low water pressure. Gravity fed pump may just be the ticket 👍🏼

I think 2021 the price has gone up to £125 so it is no longer £85. A shame because its getting expensive. But they have improved the newest models so they are automatic so no need to turn on or off. I am thinking about buying one. £85 is the price point for me. But £125 puts me off a bit. Good installation for your video. Showed its a neat solution.

That's a shame, it'd be interesting to see if it's still going strong.
I ordered a double pump system yesterday so I look forward to fitting it.

Hi sorry if this is a stupid question but we don't have a water tank (modern boiler) and shower has been run off of bath taps. is this still possible to use? or does this get fitted the to pipes where out boiler is in the kitchen? Sorry totally in the dark here.

It will work, yeah... It can be fitted pretty much anywhere, depending on your system some places would be more suitable than others.

It may not be suitable for combi . As you may be asking for more flow than your combi can supply . If you deliver the water to fast ie bigger flow you may loose temperature. Need to do the sums first . Hope this helps

So did you install the pump on hot and cold supply to the shower?

Just the hot as cold is mains pressure, hot is gravity feed.

InFectedVipeRz Hi, haha, yeah I understand, I get the blame too! Maybe the best thing would be getting the pump but the version that has a flow switch so it turns on and off with the tap opening and closing etc.

Michael C I don’t think that shower head had the best flow with gravity fed pressure, think that just compounded the issue. I’ve changed the shower head now and flow is even better 👍🏻

@@Lagunasaxoxr2 I'm a plumber. These micro pumps are £115 each, with two recommended at £155 a pair. From what I can see your water pressure is fine as you turned on another tap beside the one you're having trouble with which had a decent flow rate. Sorting the flow rate to a single outlet is an easy job and doesn't cost £115.

@@inkwyvern5171 in my scenario I needed one just to boost shower pressure. At the time it was £75 delivered and 20 mins to fit. Best option for me 100%

@@Lagunasaxoxr2 I'd consider installing these in homes with a combi boiler - if the price was reasonable as there's actually a £25 alternative on the market - to boost shower pressure as any other pump would trigger a combi's low pressure switch off, but for gravity fed systems like yours there's better and possibly cheaper options. That pump is remedying the symptom and not the cause 🤷🏼‍♂️

@@inkwyvern5171 how would you increase the flow to a gravity fed shower with 0.1Bar? Are you talking about increasing pipe diameter? Or can you share alternative options as I've low pressure and a flow rate of 3.5L/min
