NPP should not relax now. Over confidence is not good after victory. Start introducing your candidates in each area to the people. Most of us still don't know who we should vote for as we don't know who is contesting. We need people of good calibre.
I believe 100% we need Tamil and Muslim votes. But votes should come voluntarily not by making deals with Tamil or Muslim parties. The reason is this will show real unity of the people. I personally believe we got a majority or substantial amount of Muslim votes but we really need to increase the Tamil community votes in the North and Central parts of the Island.
I have learnt a lot today. Thanks for the brilliant interview, hope people vote for NPP and enable them make good changes to the governance of the country.

Translating a popular Tamil quote during my younger days, "you don't know which hole has which type of snake" - 'எந்த புற்றில் எந்த பாம்பு' - I would strongly urge those who voted for AKD and Change, to be vigilant and give their undying support to the NPP to form the future government and function effectively to free the country out of this malaise. AKD will secure a 5/6 majority but he shouldn't fall into JR's temptations and evil deeds. Biggest challenges are, how he moderates "closest extreme JVP elements", his personal safety from murderous previous rulers and how he contains the tiny group of despicable racists and religious bigots who had the upper hand last 76 years. AKD as people's President, should know he has the upper hand against the blood thirsty political culture of last 76 years. People including Minorities, will PROTECT him from anyone at any cost. An Architect with his knowledge and expertise leads a different lifestyle while the engineers lead a different level of lifestyle. The skilled workers lead a different lifestyle while the unskilled workers lead a different level of lifestyle in a construction project. This is due to the different remuneration, respect they receive and the social status they maintain. You can't expect the Architect who has invested in gaining the required knowledge and expertise and the Engineers to lead the same lifestyle of the unskilled worker. This is where the left leaning people lack pragmatism. If the Architect is to lead the lifestyle of the unskilled worker, the commoner, why should the Architect need to make that extra effort to gain the required knowledge and expertise? Why should he care to shoulder the responsibility the profession requires?
As a trade union leader he can fight not only for the welfare of the labourers but also for their families and extended families. As a CEO of the organization you to worry of how you can earn profits to pay for the shareholders and banks who have taken the risk to invest in the organization, earn for the remuneration human resources and labour. Now as the labour leader who has fought for the welfare of the families and extended families of the labour, you as a CEO face an extra burden of earning for them too and walk the talk. The efficient executive capabilities have their talents passed down generations as genetic abilities. The required environment is available in the family environment. It's the required knowledge and skills that has to be gained by striving hard through learning and experience, to hone your genetic talents. Their relationship with executive leaders in the industry and the rich revenue generating society is pivotal for any successful business relationship.
We need someone at the helm to steer the vessel. He should be an expert Navigator with experience. He needs to get the peak performance taking into account the maximum capabilities of the ship. He needs an able crew with experience to stand by his side. He needs to know the capabilities of the vessels around that could rescue his ship out of danger. We are mere passengers who have just come to enjoy the cruise trip and want to enjoy the maximum of what the cruiser provides. We have no knowledge of the vessel, navigation and what it takes to steer the vessel out of the storm. But it's we who only consider the luxury the cruiser provides are going to decide on the master and the crew that will take over. The different masters and their crew with specialized knowledge and expertise to handle the ship will have to invest their time and wealth to go begging behind the passengers asking them to hand over the ship. So naturally the ship's master and crew will have to earn more than what they have invested before they reach the next Port.
The stalwarts of the Aragalaya wanted an end to the communal and religious bigotry and bring Nationalism to the forefront. I hope this will materialize.

It's true that education in the vernacular languages helps students with no proper environment to learn other languages become knowledgeable. Due to the lack of english trained science and mathematics teachers our government is trying to give the maximum to a wide section of students through vernacular education in the Arts stream which is further aggravating the problem of the ethnic divide. The intention of the then Buddhist socialist parties at that time was to provide the marginalized rural area students vernacularly educated first preference for government run university higher education. At that period of time there were only government run universities. The vernacular educated arts stream students taught in different perspectives. This is further aggravating racial and religious bigotry within the country. Learning English will help you to maintain multi racial relationships and help you gain a wider knowledge of modern know how.
Presently the prudent rich investors will not invest in business ventures locally like the stock exchange that help generate employment, instead they will invest in other Instruments like crypto currency, international stock markets, energy and commodity trade, precious metals and rare earth materials through ETFs, mutual funds etc. worldwide by opting for dual citizenship in western countries.
When it comes to fighting corruption we shouldn't forget that Educating man in mind and not in morals is to educate a menace in society Theodore Roosevelt Socialism can educate everyone but these days moral values come down from family values. Moral values have to be taught in schools or else with demand and supply taking its toll on rule of law and to become rich and rise in social status overnight we will be educating doctors who will steal organs, engineers who will construct buildings with cheap material that'll collapse over time, lawyers who will fleece the laymen, people in power ripping the government coffers.
Cabinet became small because they had only three members in parliamentariens . You cannot proud of it. If they get majority in the parliament after the general election will they form a cabinet with three members . NO is the answer . This is one way of deceiving people .

Prasident & Ministers privileges protect by the parliament Acts so after the election through the parliament it has to be changed that is the reason. Certain conditions prasident can change.

Due to the lack of english trained science and mathematics teachers our government is trying to give the maximum to a wide section of students through vernacular education in the Arts stream which is further aggravating the problem of the ethnic divide.
The intention of the then Buddhist socialist parties at that time was to provide the marginalized rural area students vernacularly educated first preference for government run university higher education. At that period of time there were only government run universities.
The vernacular educated arts stream students taught in different perspectives. This is further aggravating racial and religious bigotry within the country.
Learning English will help you to maintain multi racial relationships and help you gain a wider knowledge of modern know how.

Socialism can educate everyone but these days moral values come down from family values.
Moral values have to be taught in schools or else with demand and supply taking its toll on rule of law and to become rich and rise in social status overnight we will be educating doctors who will steal organs, engineers who will construct buildings with cheap material that'll collapse over time, lawyers who will fleece the laymen, people in power ripping the government coffers.

Why you need the Parliamentry support to cut the Parliamentary privileges to MP's and Presidents?
