It’s not for us to judge eachother , we do not know their lives or them personally nor can we say that we ourselves our without flaws to judge someone else .be kind to one another I hope everyone has a blessed day
I'm sorry but Stephen Fry uses an atrocious fake russian accent to portray someone from Poland. He talks in a very soft singalong way typical for russian and french. Polish is so much more harsh sounding.
My take: Regardless - especially knowing his regular accent - it's obvious he's doing an accent - and - it's a comedy - thus, I believe it isn't a big deal vs, say a period piece or serious film or with others doing better accents. Looking forward to watching, knowing his accent will be a little off - but absolutely won't keep me from enjoying it and might even enjoy it more, knowing who's behind the voice and that we're all lucky to have a nice little new movie with him as 1 of the leads in an endearing role. Tons of comedy is littered with bad accents and all involved usually knows so and (again) it doesn't matter much in a context like this.
This was an amazing heartfelt movie. I don't think the comment about "atrocious fake russion (sic) accent" makes a difference in the actual story or the enjoyment in watching the story.

Very good movie. Everybody should watch it. I didn’t make it to Poland but grew up in a USA city that had the largest Polish population besides Poland.
I saw it in the theater. The movie is full of luggage, baggage, and garbage. Your personal values is where the divide is. Often bridges should just be burnt.
I wonder why you are offended as a Polish person while watching a trailer. I am really curious. Isnt it maybe better to first watch the whole movie, and then research the topic a bit more (sources from outside of Poland could be helpful) and then decide if you still should be offended? Then again, you have the right to be offended, I wish you all the best.

I have had a good policy friend for 10 years now, it’s not far off. It doesn’t have to sound harsh
Polish sounds much softer than Russian, uses lots of diminutives, so no, it's not that harsh.

Are you aware of how close the accents are? I don't think you are, doesn't sound like it

Just when I thought Leena Dunham couldn't get more fat, here we are...
Is Lena in a fat suit for this movie? Reminds me of Eddie Murphy in 'The Nutty Professor', double chin and all.
It looks like Lena went to McDonalds for the hunger.... and never left!
