The fourth content update for GT7 of 2024 has arrived bringing 3 new cars, 3 new events, 1 extra menu and more!
So for this this video of Gran Turismo 7 Update 1.46 I'm bringing you the first of three new car reviews for GT7 with the latest update and a new manufacturer with the Skoda VGT review!

This car is a perfect fit for one of those carbon paint scheme's with kind of like the Batmobile
I actually like VGTs as a concept (even though lack of performance customization makes them very difficult to use in-game), and I get why Polyphony keeps adding EVs, but it just doesn't know what to do with them. It'd actually be fun if you could do a hypermiling race or something to make use of regenerating mechanic, but there's no actual way to control regen braking in the game anyway. It's all a bit of an afterthought. It's disappointing to hear that the new Skoda VGT is good but can't last more than a couple of laps.
Hopefully Polyphony's also working on a bunch of Skoda WRC cars and oddball creations like the Roomster.
We def need the old skoda lemans car and some rally cars

My biggest issue with it!
I like the look of the car. I even made an awesome Bleach anime livery with one of the carbon paints (can't remember which one exactly right now). I made the entire hood white as well as the section under the body line going down the side and wrapping up onto the back of the car. Which was a massive pain getting the section with upward curve just right without "coloring outside the lines". But overall my biggest issue with it is that it understeers like crazy! Hard on the brakes, won't turn. Get on the accelerator, runs wide. You have to massively slow it down to take a corner with a wide angle.
As for new brands their would be nothing i would like to see more than koenigsegg but not likely to happen, but seing Skoda being added its not out of question, but i could see more it would be a brand saved for gt8

Very happy for Skoda to be in the game, but I really don't care about VGT's, although I get why they're in the game. For me, they just break my immersion a little and as vehicles, they just don't make me feel anything. I've always felt that way about the more outlandish concept cars, as the fact that nothing of the sort is seen on the road and most of these manufacturers don't have any intention of building anything like these vehicles in the near future, kind of makes them all meaningless to me.
I Understand that it's an exercise in marketing and creativity, but to me as a consumer, the only ones that I've ever felt were exciting, were the ones that were clearly going to become actual road cars, like past Lexus concepts and the Mk3 Astra concept.
Imo they might as well keep all the crazy designs to themselves unless it's actually going to filter into something they make, because the fact that each one comes and goes, sometimes without so much of a hint of design language being passed on after so much hype, makes them seem even more like soulless marketing exercises meant to draw attention to the next copypasted crossover suv road tumor that will be shoved into our faces.

I did half a lap with the car and then immediately sold it. It's a VGT and an EV, what a fucking joke
Why did you buy it in the first place?
You can rent it for a time trial in sport mode.
The joke is on you for buying it instead of renting
VGTs are boring made up cars. The have no meaning.
