    Yes, this helped me a lot. I'll consider your explanation before buying my new pedal effect.
    Thanks.

    Hey there, my friend. I'm glad you stopped by. Unfortunately, I don't have the pedal anymore to do an overall review. When I did, I was afraid that a "general" video demo would be so long that people would lose interest. Having said that, I can definitely answer some questions on the programming, dialing in the different effects, etc. Any questions right off of the top of your head?

  • @AskAGuitarPro
    @AskAGuitarPro  11 років тому

    I think the IIG is a great multi effects pedal. Small, but still packed with a number of good tones.

  • @AskAGuitarPro
    @AskAGuitarPro  11 років тому

    It's actually a great question Jorge. I'm not sure you can do it with the StompLab because both the compression and the wah are controlled by the expression pedal. Remember that distortion adds compression, so if you're trying to get the "Building the Church" sound, I'd assign the wah to the expression pedal. You'll also need to make sure you have delay selected on the pedal....try starting with 250 milliseconds on the delay time. Does this help?

  • @AskAGuitarPro
    @AskAGuitarPro  11 років тому

    Hi Kriskov. Sorry for the delayed response. I agree with your comment on the manual......it's too short to provide much in the way of specific information. I'm not sure there is a way other than having the way assigned in the program you're using. I think the only way to really figure things out is to experiment with the pedal. It takes a while, but it can be done. Believe it or not, once you get it, you can work through patches pretty quickly. Let me know if have more questions. Thx!

    Sure....all you have to do is go to the Amp Category on the pedal and hit the up & down arrow buttons (under effect typ) and it should list "Of" in the LCD display.

    Good demo!!!! Can i used just to add some reverb and delay to my gear? or combine any other modulation effects?

  • @AskAGuitarPro
    @AskAGuitarPro  11 років тому

    Good question.....and yes you can. You simply press the two (effect type) buttons at the same time......these are the up and down arrows below the value knobs. When you press them at the same time, the value should read "oF", meaning off. You would repeat to turn the amp back on. Of course, you need to be in edit mode to do this. Hope this answers your question. Feel free to check out the AskAGuitarPro website as well, my friend! Thx!

    Hey dude, I was wondering if you could do an overall review sort of thing of the product? Just going over the different effects and things? It's impractical to watch throu every one of these videos trying to tell what does what, and there's absolutely no videos anywhere on this thing! Other than yours that is! You're a great UA-camr by the way, been subscribed for a long time now!

    Nice review! I've had mine about a week now, playing a Les Paul through a Vox AC4-Blue. I wish I could just run reverb and chorus through my amp instead of a simulation of my amp, and there should be a battery door. Other than that, no complaints. The sounds I do like are great, and the programming is easy if you just calm down and read along. The ratio of good programs to useless is about 10 good to one ridiculous. Money well spent.

    HI, Thnks for the nice demo.
    I've just got my Stomplab IIb yesterday and I found the manual really very confusing. I cannot even figure out how I could use the wah pedal on the spot, supposing I'm on stage and decide to switch to a solo with a wah, on the fly. My Boss GT10 wah pedal under it so I can call the wah anytime. Is this possible without having to per-program it (if I get there).Thanks.

    This pedal sounds much better through the return of the effects loop of a tube amp

    I just used my Peavy Valve King input....no PA involved.....although I do have a small Yamaha PA, at home, that works pretty well.

    I got the 2b for bass, this peddle is a bit confusing,I Dont know about the 2g,I'm guessing its the same thing just set for bass frequency,I Dont like how if you on say pop 2(hi/lo) effect 12 ,you hit the edit button to tweak it a bit,the same knob used to find the effect in the first place has to be turned to set the parameter,unless you remember the effect you started with once you turn the edit button off you go to the effect you left the knob at ,unless you save it,but I Dont want to save every effect I tweak

    I liked this pedal and it's cheap (about 200-250 Dollars in Brazil) but, i need to know more about it before purchasing one instead a Zoom G2.1nu,. That costs about 400 Dollars but I know how it works.
    Can i set a Vai-like sound (like in "Building the church") in StompLab IIG using simultaneously distortion + wah wah? ? This is not a dumb question, since some pedal effects don't give you this option (COMP. + WAH + PEDAL at the same time) and I still don't know much about this one.

    Then I read on another movie that you are using a Peavey Valve King. Do you insert a simply audio output (from Stomplab) to the Peavey guitar input?

    hey, I'm going for a more psychedelic sound , could I achieve that with this processor ? like a sort of early Floyd, doors-y sound :)) thanks in advance , great demos . I'm thinking about getting this :)

    • @AskAGuitarPro
      @AskAGuitarPro  9 років тому +1

      +Rodrigo Yanes Hi Rodrigo. Sure. You can definitely get some Floyd-ish tones (utilize compression and subtle Phaser) and Doors tones (fuzz drive, and cleaner amps).

    I have been planning to buy a wah pedal for a while now, is this pedal suitable for that or is the wah option here just a small extra?

    • @AskAGuitarPro
      @AskAGuitarPro  8 років тому

      +guitarslash33 I guess it just depends on your rig. Personally, I like to have my wah separate from my other effects. However, the wah in the Stomplab is pretty decent.

    hey. i got this pedal yesterday, do you know how can i can deactivate the amp emulation? i already know how to turn off the effects, but i didn't figured out how to that on the amp category.

    • @AskAGuitarPro
      @AskAGuitarPro  10 років тому

      I think so. Try moving the category knob to the AMP/DR location and then press the effect type buttons (up and down arrows) simultaneously. This should turn the effect "OFF".

    hello there are your amplifier s settings (bass,treble etc) into zero while using the multi effect?

    • @AskAGuitarPro
      @AskAGuitarPro  9 років тому

      nikos9424 Thanks for the question, my friend. I think my settings on the amp were straight up.....bass, treble, and mid were in the halfway position.

    • @nikos9424

      AskAGuitarPro thank you!

  • @AskAGuitarPro
    @AskAGuitarPro  11 років тому

    Sure. No problem....however, I believe you still have to select a preset (or create one) that has an amp selected. In your case, I think you would pick a clean amp so it doesn't color the tones of your other pieces of gear. Thanks for the question....feel free to stop by the AskAGuitarPro website as well!

    How does one assign the pedal to be a volume pedal? I can't seem to make it work. I can get all the other ones, but setting a simple user program to have pedal control the volume is making me insane. The manual is confusing as hell.

    • @AskAGuitarPro
      @AskAGuitarPro  8 років тому

      +Boss Man Yes, under the "Pedal" selection, you can choose Acoustic. Now, keep in mind, that it won't sound identical to an acoustic guitar; it's a rough approximation. Thanks for the question.

    I am a beginner in Electric and searching to buy a new expression pedal / processor. I've searched almost everywhere but vain, can you guide me which processor would be good for me and I also want to know that can I switch it to Clean, gain, crunch, metal lead, etc simultaneously by pre- setting using pedal ?

    • @AskAGuitarPro
      @AskAGuitarPro  9 років тому

      Many good choices out there. The Boss ME-50 and the Vox Stomplab IIG are two that I think might work well for you. I have a number of demos on both that you could check out. Let me know if you have any questions Samir.

    • @bedroomriffs
      @bedroomriffs 9 років тому

      I only want to know that can I switch it to Clean, gain, crunch, metal lead, etc simultaneously by pre- setting this stompLab II G. It has not been clearly shown in this demo.

    • @AskAGuitarPro
      @AskAGuitarPro  9 років тому

      Samir Pradhan You're right Samir. This demo is mostly to give you an idea on sound, not so much operation. But, yes, both this pedal and the Boss ME-50 give you the ability to jump to pre-programmed sounds/settings.....clean, gain, crunch, metal lead, etc.

    I have much more expensive multieffects boards. I got this for under 100 to test its amps and effects. Sounds good direct and with amp. I also liked the idea of a small multi-effect with a tiny expression pedal. If it sounds good, why not fork out 99 dollars? There is nothing cheaper than that for what it can do!
