Is this burner still working for you? I read it fails quite often just out of warranty of only 6 months. I would love to purchase it I am just a little nervous about the poor reliability ratings. Thanks for sharing this clip it looks like just the ticket for my needs.
taz man If the reviews you’re referring to are the ones I read some time ago, they were by people using these professionally day in, day out in a restaurant and/or other cooking venues - so way more than I brew beer in my condo kitchen. As of this writing, this unit online is $159.99. I don’t see that as very expensive when compared to some 1800w units. Just my opinion. Right now, I’m about 10 5+ gallon batches in on a $50 Salton 1800w unit. Yes, it boils but takes time to get there!
I start with around 6.5 to 7 gallons and it comes from mash temp (150ish) to boil in a little less than 20 minutes. An insulation blanket on the kettle would speed this up considerably from what I read.
Ya i just decided watching water boil for longer than 2 minutes was going to be a rough video. I will say it has an easy time boiling 7 Gallons of water/wort/beer in 30 minutes. and will heat up a cast iron skillet to 400 degrees in about 20 seconds. Great for fajitas :D
240v for the win. I have the 24" 3500W electric griddle. It's amazing. 120v is for the birds🤣
For sure. No insulation required on brewing pots. It heats up very quickly. Everything is better with twice the volts :)

Any updates on your experience? Is it still alive?
It is still alive and kicking! I use it for misc large cooking projects and brew days. Great burner lots of power from this thing.
How much wort do you boil on this when doing your 5 gal batches and how long to boil?

Too bad this a 220v unit to use at home....yeah overkill but....the POWER!
Would a way around this be to use a voltage converter transformer?
Hard to rate on such a small volume
