Any suggestions on what type of device will do that. I still wonder how others regulate gas burns during mash. I can't seem to find any information or videos on the subject. Most seem to switch to some type of mash vessel like a cooler. I want to do everything in a single 20 gallon SS Brew pot using BIAB. An external thermostat with probe would regulate gas on and gas off. Any help would be appreciated.
John mentioned he didn't think anyone brewed with solar power. He may be right for practical reasons, but the Brew Dogs did do a solar heated brew on their show a few years ago using parabolic lenses. While talking propane burners John missed the jet burner option. That was my first outdoor kettle heater. Not a great burner if you don't like soot on your kettle bottom, but it did put off an impressive column of flame and it did the job quite well otherwise. Great show. Cheers.
In Canada when talking about BTU which is a measurement of heat energy we use Joules or Calories. A Kilowatt is a measurement of work force or power. Cheers!
@@chubeye1187 , I just meant that we are metric like you are. We say KW when in reference to power consumption but not when talking about heat energy. We use BTU, Calorie, or Joules. Cheers
How do you maintain the proper mash temperature while using a gas burner?
Typically you would use a controller of some type that cycles the burner on and off as needed to manage the temperature.

In the uk we use kilowatt, same with the rest of the EU. Take a room heater or a shower.

@@CanadianBrewingChannel I'm not saying you wrong joules is the correct si unit for energy, but even my wood burner, was measured in KW. Just saying
Freedom Units baby!
Hey Brad. What do you use to read your script at the beginning?
Just an iPad on the stand below the camera - using some type of Teleprompter software (there are many apps available)
