    You dont need to turn if off for "reset"
    It will do it automatic the moment it senses as new burst.
    Quite nice it keeps the value.
    you can also save configaration, on how you want the screen to figure..
    you do that by holding in the button, then it will remember the orientation for next time.

    I purchased a Surecom SW-33 Plus to test SWR and wattage on my GMRS radios prior to using them. I don't think it's working correctly. It shows 1.7 SWR on the dummy load and shows 19.9 SWR on the stock factory rubber duck antennas. Now I'm uncertain and don't want to talk on them until I know for certain it will be ok. Any suggestions?

      If you have a rubber duck low power you will be fine .

      I've purchased this meter last week and tried it yesterday on my Baofeng bf-888s. Using the dummy load for FRS CH1, it reads 1.01swr and a little over 2 watts. Swap on the factory rubberduck antenna, and match is 19.9vswr. Swapped on my nagoya na771 and that was high SWR as well. I don't think it's working correctly. I noticed the directions and box say 2 different things. Box says good up to 525Mhz, manual says 430Mhz. It also says minimum of 3watts for swr reading. I think i might return mine🤷

      @@marcphillips1020 Make sure you are using it correctly as per the instructions. Using the dummy load you dont have to hold your unit while taking measurements. If test swr of antenna you need to have a hand on the unit to get an accurate reading. I thought my readings were artificially high till doing this. Its in the directions.

    I have this Swr meter and I like it. But my main concern is when the replacement battery time arrives. Do you have any idea how to replace the battery and what kind battery is it use ?

    Every single person i have seen uses this swr meter completly wrong and because of it get gross miscalculations.

      @@HamTechRadioScannerDrones Did you read the manual? It shows _PICTURES_ with big red Xs and green check marks of incorrect and correct ways to test. Power is done with radio vertical position with dummy load NOT antenna . SWR is done with radio vertical and finger tips gripping the meter. This may or may not be an updated manual, but it does seem that everyone is just doing what _they_ think is correct.

      Finger tips act as a counterpoise for antenna. Vertical and touch the sides, then check SWR 😊

      @@braddahbill8131 I noticed this as well. While testing SWR you need a hand on the unit or you will get wild miscalculations. But the instructions quite clearly state how it SHOULD be used.

However, the antenna of a handheld is not just grounded (counterpoised) by the user's hand, the proximity of the user's head is important, too. That's why, when manufacturers measure the power on their handhelds, they position them next to a dummy head. So, to do a proper measurement you not only hold the radio in your hand, you must also move you face close to it the same as you would if you were going to talk into its built-in microphone. SWR measurements are a little different and you MUST carefully follow the photos in the manual. This is because accurate SWR measurements require you to also ground the test instrument (SW-33 Plus). So, when making an SWR measurement, you must hold the radio in one hand, hold the SW-33 Plus in the other hand, and move the radio near your face. When you are NOT concerned about the SWR and just want to know the power, then you do not need to touch the SW-33 Plus.
