actually most constitutions in the world have this specified. And guess what - most don't have absolute immunity for their political leaders. I.e. in Germany the chancellor has no special immunity at all - he/she just have the same immunity as any other member of the parliament.....

The chancellor suggests the ministers (which are approved by the Bundespresident) and he is the head of the cabinet. So he/she has the final decision.
However, the president of the US has more power - that is true! However, I am not sure if this is a good argument for absolute immunity.

Supreme Court justices do not prosecute crimes. Sotomayor’s dissent against total presidential immunity would not foreclose the ability to prosecute Obama for his crimes.

Given that the president can pardon himself, prosecution of actions taken in office ends up being “Ha, ha, we tricked you into thinking you were safe!” Impeachment is the remedy for lawless Presidents, so I would accept unconditional immunity from criminal prosecution for any actions the president takes while in office.
Also, it’s a bad look to prosecute ex presidents, even ones as criminal as Clinton, Obama, and Biden.
