Thanks for being honest. The main reason I was looking at the Fosi was the 165 watts to drive existing speakers, and the aesthetics, 'cause it looks cool and that is a factor in this build, but if the watts aren't there, as I figured it would not be in a class T amp I guess I'll keep looking. Again thanks. Used to be easy to pick equipment, Watts, Amps, RMS value, now they have a whole bunch of new ways to hide the fact that their equipment is not what they claim.
I highly recommend the RSL ia255.1! As I mentioned in the video, it's true RMS 55Wpc and is way more powerful than the Fosi. I have a full review of that unit on the channel
@@HiFiTurtle Thanks for the advise but I'm trying to drive some old school 200 watt Boston tower speakers. I figured I could make it work with the Fosi specs but I need at least 100w per channel RMS. I don't want a Class A standard stereo amp cause they're too big and bulky, I'm looking for something cool and sleek as it's going in a sort of game room setup.
@ honestly I think 55w as long as it's true 55w will be more than enough. If you want to go bigger and into class A/B Yamaha makes a great integrated which true wifi streaming and a remote amzn.to/3BnsnDX (affiliate) The Wiim Amp is also great and adds that wifi streaming option in a more compact class D package amzn.to/3CUxwDT (affiliate)
@@HiFiTurtle I bought new in their official Amazon store, but I'm in Venezuela so it is very hard for me to return the Fosi to the United States again, we are very limited as a country in this aspect.
Hi I’m a new subscriber after coming across an older review of the Electroconpaniet dac and music sever , are you still using this dac / server ? ,.Thank you for your informative reviews,..
@@HiFiTurtle Thank you for the reply, I use review’s as a compass , your review of the Electroconpaniet dac and music server was very good coming from experienced and a good ear . I have never owned an all in one box server and dac . I will be placing an order ,….PS I don’t normally buy components from reading or watching video reviews I like to experience said components myself however I will be placing an order for the Electroconpaniet server ,..
your points are really unscientific nonsense. the midrange isnt audiophile? what does that even mean? either it hits all frequencies or not. im pretty sure it does becasue i saw the measurements. so i dont even know what you are trying to say. it doesnt make sense!
Are you actually asking? Or are you just trying to project as an above average intelligence listener because you looked at a chart? I described the midrange, it lacks realness and sounds artificial. Maybe shouty could be used to describe it. But what do I know? I’m an unscientific cur and you are obviously of very high IQ and superior intellect. Surprised you would watch, but thanks for watching
@@HiFiTurtle lets see how this attitude works out for you on youtube.. you really dont understand hifi/physics basics and its totally obvious. kinda funny to see how pissed you are about it lol..

After watching - it totally has it's place for some people .. but certainly there are lots of budget options.
Most definitely, it has become super competitive in the under $200 range
Totally agree with you review, I lost my money with this Fosi... I will never buy a fosi product again! Thanks for your review
They offer a 30-day money back guarantee, or did you buy used?

Correction: The MC351 with the 32v psu is $189.99

Did you try it with an external DAC?
I did not, most of my equipment is high end and I don't think it would be useful to viewers if I pluged a $6,000 DAC into a $190 integrated amp.
@@HiFiTurtle true i brought it up because cheap audio man noticed a significant improvement using the smsl-su-1 DAC that is like $75
