Donavan Woods and John Mayer are my 2 fav artists of all time, just phenomenal songwriters who have immense talent of being able to find the most beautiful yet unspoken aspects of life and sing it in such impeccable music arrangements
Wait, what??? How did I just stumble in here? This guy is.....holy smokes....unbelievable....I'm streaming everything, Donovan. I'm telling everyone I know about you, too. And, honestly, is there anything better than stumbling across a new artist and discovering his/her entire catalog? Nope.
right!? i wish i could share him with the world, he’s so incredible. donovan deserves far more recognition but it’s also nice keeping him as a hidden gem. 🤍

“Next Year” randomly came up on a streaming service and stopped me in my tracks- I thought it was profound then but it took on an even greater, more painful meaning a few months later when my best friend passed away unexpectedly. All those plans we kept putting off until “next year”…
Wait, what!!! Who is this guy and where did he come from? Heard his song Next year by random on Amazon Music and it stopped me in my tracks and had to hear more of this guy...after replaying it 3 times. Great stuff!!!
Jungian psychotherapist Robert Moore says most men are carrying too much grief... Un-cried, unprocessed, grief. No tradition and no way... to let it go. Grief that robs us of our joy, our light, and our power. This guy puts his thumb right in it... gently... but right smack in the middle of it, and presses the release button. I loathed much of the Rap and Grunge Gen X dumped on us. Thank you Millennials. Thank you.
As a Canadian artist, he certainly has a lot of references to US locations. As an American, I'd like to hear more references to Yellowknife and Newfoundland in my foreign music from the north. Take me away from this country!
that's girls music...the dude, the band and the music is depressing...though the keyboarder laughs all the time for no reason...maybe he's on drugs or insane...or both

Donovan Woods can absolutely NOT be his given name...it should be Seriously Underrated.
I am totally head over heels for Donovan's songwriting.
This guy can do no wrong. Unbelievable talent. 👌

How about putting the ad breaks in between songs instead of in the middle...come on CBC you're better than this.
Jordan...I was just frickin thinking that
CBC is not better than that😹😹😹 but yeah I think UA-cam plops them in. Don't know how much control the channel has?
Anyone know what instrument he is playing in the first song?
I want to know too. A dulcimer of some kind, maybe?
Whats the name of the first instrument? 4 Strings? It sounds great.
Seagull Merlin

Maybe take a stroll through the Tragically Hip's catalog.
@@cbcmusic will The Hip take me away from this mess and put me in the Canadian wilderness?
@@MyBeansAndToast that...it will.
