Riding to New York reminds me of when the doctors told us our 5 year old would never reach 6 because of a Wilms tumor stage 3. Her one wish was to see the Grand Canyon. We had no money and they told us she was too sick to travel. We packed up the rattle trap( we called it a car) drove from Texas to the Grand Canyon. She's now 37. She said that the trip gave her the courage to fight. Thanks for the bittersweet memory.

I think finally after 10 years I can express why I need your music in my life. How to explain to people why your music is different to me. you know how when some artists release their albums, and the more and more popular it gets their music changes to meet the 'pop' music that is trending? what I love about Passenger is that you could listen to his previous albums like Wide Eyes Blind Love or All The Little Lights and Whispers and the music is still similar! He hasn't changed his music and style to meet the standards of todays pop music! This is what I love about it!!

Is it normal that listening to this makes me feel so happy and peaceful, as if I have fallen in love? I have never felt so much joy in any kind of music. It's also nice to know that there is still real music in the market, you know with meaningful lyrics and stuff.

That song "Bullets" really got to me. One man's trash is another man's treasure! When you get old, the most trivial little thing can mean everything.
On days I feel particularly down, I turn to Passenger's music. I listen to them on happy days and on nostalgic days too, but on tearful days the words touch my heart even more than usual.
I just can't believe I didn't find your music earlier. It literally plays my heart. When I listen your music, your lyrics, I feel a special connection with you, because I see the world the same way as you do. I have listened lots of interprets whose songs I loved, but my feelings from music have never been so strong... I find myself in your lyrics and in your guitar.
I myself write poems and that's quite similar to writing song lyrics, but recently I just couldn't find the right words to express my feelings... I think your songs showed me the way how to find them. It's really big inspiration for me. Thank you for that. You're amazing. :)

David i just really want to thank you for your honesty in your songs. There are very few artists out there who make music to truly express them self and care about quality over profits. I was never a fan of this type of music to be honest but i listen to your albums almost every day. Keep making and believing in your art and talents, and dreams. Your songs are pure poetry. You’re a real word smith. Thank you for bring emotion back to a dark soul. After years of not being able to cope with the emotions music brings to me, you’re music and words have enabled me to start to open that part of myself again. Whispers has become not only my favourite Passenger album but my favourite album of all time. It's up there with the greatest hits of Simon & Garfunkel, Cat Stevens, Don McLean and Leonard Cohen. None of those has an individual album I love as much as this. I suspect I'll still be listening to it in 20 years time. Right - back to the music!

I am obsessed with this music. As a Baby Boomer, I graduated High School in 76, and boy oh boy were those 70's fantastic. Don't regret anything. It has been a struggle to enjoy some of the "newer" music, and for whatever reason, I am just getting into this UA-cam stuff. I found you yesterday, and I hear my generation through this music so much. The hope the dreams, sad and willowy, and upbeat. I was a Cat Stevens fan and still enjoy his older music for the most part. I hear a bit of Cat Stevens and others too. Your Voice is full of magic, love your guitar and your back up horns and violins, complex yet so fresh and free...wow I guess I could just go on and on, I can't wait to more, however, I will most likely listen to this over and over....and over..Like I said I am obsessed!

I am gob smacked I thought that this was a pirated youtube stream very brave move giving the album free on youtube. I have to say that this is one of the best albums that I have listened too in a long time. I remember hearing about the story of Bullets. There was an old man who, since his childhood, he collected bullets and had a lifetime of a bullet collection. One day his house was robbed, and the thieves thought the bullets in the man’s house were useable. They weren’t. They were old shell casings. They were his lifetime, with each bullet he collected having a story and memory. All of those stories and memories are gone. All he was left with were a few bullets. Truly tragic tale

Oh...so many times my heart has been on fire. It burns out eventually and I think that pain is over with...but then it flares up again. I'm almost 70 and it still burns, late at night, when I must pay attention to it.

im ashamed to admit i havent heard of anything that passenger did before now but that will change. this album is quality both in composition and performance and i am the better for listening to it. quality in lyrics and pure liquid poetry that flows right to your soul. wonderful and thank you so much for sharing it
