I built this deck the day after pixelborn died. Mines different than yours by a few cards but I built mine by saying 1&2 drops have to have 3 wp and 3 and above drops have to have 4 strength or more with the only exceptions being rabbit and robinhood evasive

This is by far my favorite deck! But it’s just way too fair.. you have to play it as such a high level and end up losing to the decks that do the unfair thing most the time
I think the best thing you can hope for in any game is a deck that can beat any other consistently. I feel this deck lies just outside of the rock, paper , scissors.
why the 1 drop robin hood and no shift robin hood? feels like something better could be played .
2-2 body against aggro was helpful. And talking to several opponents after games,they def adjusted their plays waiting for a shift that was never coming
I actually like this choice. The threat of the shift will 100% cause people to kill it and allow them to waste removal when you want to actually have what you want hit the board.
Now that Patrick is playing Lorcana, when are we going to see some matches between the two of you?

As someone who lost to you in top 8, how did you lose to discard in top 4? Lol
Their deck was tech'd to go faster than the usual emerald/steel. Shift Pegasus really helped them lock down game 1 and was the one lore diff game 3.

Having more than 2 stiches and mats is over kill, no? Insatiable greed ? Just curious. EmSteel discard pirates came to every championship they could as a team to take upwards of 8 stiches combined In their sweaty crew of rude not fun players. Thoughts?
A playset is 4 so if that was a goal people set I won't begrudge them, and these are competitive events that people usually have to pay to play in. For my part I coach pretty much any local who asks for it, I give or loan cards to people to help them complete their decks and I make videos also trying to educate and help people do as best they can. I love competing and I do everything I can locally to help anyone and everyone be as good as they can. Last set champs every single person knew my deck and my strategy, and a couple people adopted it to win their own Stitches. I think Emsteel being no fun to play against is a fairly universal opinion(bucky errata has been put out). As for not fun players, that just sucks, we have all encountered those people along the way, but at the moment the Lorcana community has the fewest of them I've seen in any similar game.

The speci version is actually what I faced in the mirror. Really interesting to see how those changes make it much more aggressive
Interesting strat. Somebody against me tried this similar strat and it backfired because of my tech choices ( I play 3 fang because people can't deal with locations if they're hard focused on my diablos or Robin's ect. I also run vision slabs to gain a passive lore per turn and not allow belle or rapunzels to go. I think if I had to tell somebody what to add to " counter" it it would be the new ursula sea witch to force the ink to be used to cast the removal cards. I think ursula as a tech card Is insane. And this version of emerald steel Discard isn't going to win by turn 7 at all do long as you can ink and put up some form of bord state and show threats until you can drop that ursula.
I play emerald steel Discard and won my store champ. Beat all ruby sapphire or ruby amethyst ect. Now maybe my deck was different because I ran 3 of cards and many tech cards to counter many decks or to throw off people but your strat is assuming they're playing PURE Discard. Also the Flynn isn't there to quest. FYI. It's an additional bonus. It's there for the floodborn Discard, and evasive to smack other evasive cards or to sing. I think in total I quest with flyn maybe once per match if they topdeck mode. My diablos never resolved once
The more popular decks are pure discard. There are always going to be variations to any deck or strategy. So the advice is catered to the most common version of what you'd see.
The new 7 cost Ursula is great, especially if you can shift her out.
