Thanks guys, when I did my ‘63 rear wheel seals and brakes, the larger o-ring was inside the seal carrier. Now I see it is supposed to be over the bearing. Thanks for that. On the other side the brakes were fine but thought I would change out the seals anyway. Then it got weird and after closing the adjusters all the way in I couldn’t get the drum back over the shoes. Any ideas? Going back to square one
Sometimes the shoes need to be pushed up or down to allow the drum to go over. If one or both shoes are too high or low, they’re off center from the drum and the edges hit just enough to stop the drum from going over. Hope this helps, thanks for watching!
I have a tire question. What do you think would be the tallest and maybe widest tire i could put on stock 15" 1963 beetle rims. Car is stock height. I just want to maybe get more miles per hour on the hgihway with a taller wheel right now i have 165 80 r 15 as the tire size thanks love your site
Not sure, I haven’t played much with tire sizes for that. Tacomaworld.com has a pretty neat tire size calculator that lets you compare sizes and gives you a visual representation of each size side by side. It’s been helpful for me in the past.
Hey thanks! Dropped a window on the very end of my middle finger. Broke the bone, completely removed the nail. Had to have pins put in, couple weeks before they come out.
Sheared the end of my middle finger. Shattered the bone and removed the nail. Had to have it all pinned back together. Kicker is, three days before, I’d just gotten the stitches out of my other hand after getting some rusty metal through it on New Years Eve. 2023 is off to a great start 😂
I just sold my 65 Bug because it was just a money pit. I still watch this channel because its just different. No Pandering, No BS. Great Content.
Thanks for watching! Might convince you to buy another money pit and be miserable with the rest of us 😂
Amazing you got that far with one hand. Nice job
Good one handed stuff Taylor!
Good stuff boys. Actually more informative to have Taylor explaining to young Jedi Ben. Give a man a fish blah, blah...
Great video well explained ,man you know some stuff.
Hey thanks! Still lots I don’t know. 10 years on and I’m still learning things.
Great hand job.
I have taken pics in the past but a good suggestion to use the other side as a template

My 60 has those crazy oil slingers inside the drums. The ones that look like frying pans.
Thanks!
