The vocal phrasing on this is beyond insane. This is some of the most magical music ever created. It's like half crooner half delta. It's like swimming naked with a fine babe in slow motion inside a vast margarita on a hot night in Havana.

+AnalogOpher And the reverb on the vocal is incredible for such a blues!

+rockitMiC Hell yea, but did you notice how it started with a massive reverb swell and then they turned it down some. That was funny.

    EC:
    Well, another night to cry
    Baby, just cryin' over you
Well, I've got another night to cry
Another night to cry over you
You hurt me so bad and so long
And there's nothing I can do
I'm so in love with you
And you know it, and I can't help myself
Yes, I'm so in love with you
And you know it, and I can't help myself
You laugh at my face when I say, I love you
And walk away with somebody else
You can't keep on hurtin' me
    Unless you get hurt yourself
You can't keep on hurtin' me
    Unless you get hurt yourself
    'Cause your misusin' ways, baby
Has drove me to somebody else...

Last verse is missing, and it goes like that
Well, go ond and have your fun
      Do anything you wanna do
Yes, baby go on and have your fun
Do anything that you wanna do
Cause it's my last night of crying
      I'm really true to you.

Lonnie was a true pioneer. He played with Louis Armstrong in Mahogany Hall Stomp and Im not Rough. Among others. Worth looking into. Way ahead of his time

J'ADMIRE !

It is Otis Spann on the piano here, he died way way too young. Mr Johnson first recorded in the 1920's, food for thought. What a beautiful singer and guitarist.

It is 'you are', lazy fingers, 'you are', not 'your', which is a possessive determiner, not a verb.
