I see why bbking liked this man
I love the mic echo. It’s like he’s singing into the void
oh.
my.
god.
lowprofile82
oh
your
god
The vocal phrasing on this is beyond insane. This is some of the most magical music ever created. It's like half crooner half delta. It's like swimming naked with a fine babe in slow motion inside a vast margarita on a hot night in Havana.
+AnalogOpher And the reverb on the vocal is incredible for such a blues!
+rockitMiC Hell yea, but did you notice how it started with a massive reverb swell and then they turned it down some. That was funny.
+AnalogOpher Yes sure!
AnalogOpher It's actually all blues
I like this :)
EC:
Well, another night to cry
Baby, just cryin' over you
Well, I've got another night to cry
Another night to cry over you
You hurt me so bad and so long
And there's nothing I can do
I'm so in love with you
And you know it, and I can't help myself
Yes, I'm so in love with you
And you know it, and I can't help myself
You laugh at my face when I say, I love you
And walk away with somebody else
You can't keep on hurtin' me
Unless you get hurt yourself
You can't keep on hurtin' me
Unless you get hurt yourself
'Cause your misusin' ways, baby
Has drove me to somebody else...
Thank you !!!!
Last verse is missing, and it goes like that
Well, go ond and have your fun
Do anything you wanna do
Yes, baby go on and have your fun
Do anything that you wanna do
Cause it's my last night of crying
I'm really true to you.
@@apostolosdoumanis8767true to you or thru with you?
Tenho a impressão de que cada música que você escuta te dá uma visão diferente de mundo assim como energia e sentimentos também.
Bela música...

Disse tudo Luiz ....Grande abraço
Smooth Lonnie Johnson remains one hellava, cool, calm, and a groovey singer, writer laid back entertainer with a commanding voice., guitar skill , and soulful sound thats undeniably one of the best soulfully expressed bluesy with a mixture of R & B with a toast to timeless melo taste in a rock & rolling spirits and legacy that lives for eternity...
Lonnie was a true pioneer. He played with Louis Armstrong in Mahogany Hall Stomp and Im not Rough. Among others. Worth looking into. Way ahead of his time
Wow, what a performance, blues at its absolute best
started this sound in 1939. imagine how far ahead he was
Kay Value Leader guitar. Brilliant sound.
Great music. Such a long time ago now!!
Keep this song in my mind all day
J'ADMIRE !
all time legend yet ive only discovered him probably something to do with getting heavily into the 1920s blues
unsung genius
The guy on base has is something else!
Bass is Willie Dixon. The godfather of the blues. Really worth looking into.
It is Otis Spann on the piano here, he died way way too young. Mr Johnson first recorded in the 1920's, food for thought. What a beautiful singer and guitarist.
I would say Memphis Slim.
It's Otis Spann on piano, Willie Dixon on Bass :)
Awesome how he says yes,, to his own pickin
Blues raiz. Ótimo ouvir em dezembro de 2021. Que Deus o tenha, alegrou muita gente
Nice ✌

I'm not a blues fan, like I'm from another culture, but the voice, the talent the rhythms just blow my mind, thank you for this

Why on earth do they cut away just as he gets into his solo? Historic opportunity lost, well done director :^ (

☺️
Willie Dixon on bass. Otis Span on piano?
⏳
It is 'you are', lazy fingers, 'you are', not 'your', which is a possessive determiner, not a verb.
good sound man. turned down the vibratto on the mic quick.
Reverb
charlie parker is the bassist
