@@EugeValovirta230V I mean that to be a compliment. You play amazingly well. There were periods of my life when people would tell me I sounded more like Ace Frehley than Ace Frehley, then that I sounded more like Jake E Lee, and many years later they would say I sounded more like Yngwie than Yngwie. It's no detriment to show your influences. We all have a debt of respect and gratitude to these legendary players.
Thanks man! Yeah it’s sometimes a bit annoying though I know that people usually means that as a compliment. But you know how it is; you just play like you play and people always compare you to someone and the best complimest to me are the ones like ”I really like your playing, sound & style” etc.
But I could’ve also not do this video but I did and just played like myself which isn’t that far from Zakk’s sound to be honest 😁.

My next solo album (with different vocalists) with my original songs is in that territory. Heavily 😎. It’s pretty much done and mixed. I’m just waiting for vocals to a couple of songs, mix those and then to mastering. The release will most likely be early 2024.

Great video. There’s a lot to unpack but so informative. I liked seeing what plug-ins you used on the guitars tracks to widen the sound. Very informative to see what plug-ins can be used to achieve that. Thanks for the lesson Euge. Also, about that Pride and Glory album, one of my favourite parts is the solo in the second half of “Shine On”. It’s so clear and articulate that I always thought it was a great guitar lesson. I played that over and over in my car trying to figure out how he was playing it. Great video, Thank You!

Yeah we spent one afternoon together in Finland back in the day arranged by a Finnish music magazine. We had lots of fun, played some guitar and drank many (probably too many) beers 😎. We’ve both been sober for years now but that was then 🙏. One of the most down to earth and funniest guys I’ve ever met 👌.

Yeah it turned out we had all the same influences; Rhoads, Frank Marino, Alvin Lee etc. He took it with a humour when I told (half joking) him that he sounds quite a bit like me 😁.
