Another notice. Between the two missions, the Japanese takes are re-used if the line is unchanged. However in English, the lines are fully re-done for both missions. Notably, the final line in both is drastically different in tone, again only in English. The first mission is quite chipper. The second, you can HEAR her disbelief that they lost 3v1.
@@OCTO358 2:17 Honestly she sounds like she respects us more now rather than being cheery about it. She doesn't seem happy but sounds quite accepting of us carrying the "Raven" title.
This doesn't sound like a miscast but rather a misdirection. On some inflections, the EN Voice sounds perfectly similar to the JP one. But EN Voice seems to be told to be "as professional as possible". While the original JP Voice clearly mimicks ACFA's Sumika-Strayed relationship; semi-professional.
Both are good and preference for one or the other is something upon which I think *_REASONABLE_* people can disagree. The JP voice, through her inflection, feels much more attached and that, to me, conveys that she's more invested in the _cause_ of the Ravens. So that's my pick. (Kinda the inverse with Ayre's direction, funny enough.)
maybe I'm biased, but the JP voice seems to show a bit more back story between the original Raven and his operator. The caring and concerned feelings seem to be more pronounced
Literally look at Master of Arena’s Lana Nielsen EG voice and you can clearly see it’s basically the same. I swear I will never understand why people always instantly put JP voices on a pedestal.
The Raven operator talkings on Com is not 1 person but it is multiple people talking to each other. When the "Raven operator" says "Raven" this and that, she refers to other Ravens that are watching or another raven that are watching refers to the Raven operator that is fighting. And Raven operator direct their apologize to King and Chartreuse for being late not to us. And also "Our friends have been defeated. Be careful Raven." is also not refer to us, but the another Raven on com tell the Raven to be careful. As she was supposed to meet up with them to do some stuff but we came first and fought them instead which made the confusion for King and Chartreuse. They only refer to us as Raven after we defeat the Raven operator in their last few line. It would be nice if we can have a Com with Raven team after the mission though
oh damn, you need to make a comparison of G1 michigan, I just CAN'T think of a japanese american drill sergeant. ATTENTION GUN THIR-TEEN RAVEN THIS REQUEST COMES FROM OUR ASSOCIATES AT BAHFENG
I think the japanese VA is too soothing and more calm than english VA. and imo, those 2 things are not fit in in Rubicon in general. And then we have English VA which is more serious with the situation...
English VA is far better, professional, analytical, and decisive. She does let her guard down, but by her tone of voice, she knows that emotions have no place in the battlefield. There is sorrow and sadness to see her comrades from BRANCH down, but keep her focus as an intel dispatch to the Raven Operator. Japanese VA in contrast is your ordinary, anime, generic, caring loyal supporter, first day in the field, and very likely will get her operative kill. I take my chances with the English VA any day, at any operation of the month, IRL.
Tell me which one you prefer 😊😊
jp, she sound more "like a real person telling her friend: hey show him what u got"

English Nightfall Operator: 47's handler from Hitman
Japanese Nightfall Operator: English Ayre
I like the EN more. It kinda fits the atmosphere of the game. Very professional sounding but still has a hint of caring for Nightfall Raven.
Eh, I don't know. She seemed kinda too cheery when she said the "we gonna watch you now" bit.

it doesnt really match how ravens operator looks though. in the stv sketch of them she looks like a young japanese girl
shit taste. the english dub is sooooooo dogwater compared to the Japanese VA

The EN dub sounds so professionally dull in comparison, yikes

@@Ikcatcherbecause they don’t speak the language so therefore it’s better.
@@bcd32dok36 You say that as if you think I don't like the EN voice acting.
The Raven operator is the only one I don't like.
@@sachariel6951 I only saying most people who say the sub sounds better usually don’t know the language.
i swear if the JP voice started with ara ara...
I like both honestly.
That can kind of go for the game as a whole, both casts are pretty great.
4:38 Oohh. I can hear the disbelief in her tone. Lovely.
Edit: Actually this tread happens from here onward. Helps show the members were friends.

Honestly prefer EN dub for this game, it feels too good, especially for the male characters+ ayre and carla

Neither fit if look at her picture especially Eng
@@oratank ???
With names like walter and stuff I think english fits more from an immersion standpoint.
Both are very good in their own way. The VAs of this game are all quite good.
rayvun
Remember: Raven is Karl Urban
JP VA has that Onee-san energy when she speaks, in this case JP is better.
Man this game drew the VA Jackpot, both are so good.
JP voice so calm
Judging from the comments, seems both EN and JP are good. Armored Core has great VAs.
I feel like the EN VA sounds a little too robotic personally. Honestly wouldn't have minded if she voiced ALLMIND as well
Might be callback to the previous operators where they sound exactly like that.

I think most jp voice are better than english dub , except for michigan, carla and snail
Do you know the name of the EN voice actress? I can't find it.
After playing daemon X machina with 1v6s this game was kinda easy.
l like both...617 was just One Raven Who Survived Once, so He can Do It Again...
